It gets mailed to you.

And be patient.

I didn't get my check cashed till like 11 days later, some people even longer.

And it looks like a bunch get cashed at once, depending on when you mailed it... like the day mine was cashed 5 others had that done too.

My NOA came a few days later.

Snail mail.

We called and requested for Military Expedite. Two days later VSC e-mailed us and asked for evidence, whatever supports our request for expedite. My fiance (USC) works in a very volatile unit and will be required to deploy some time soon. His Commander signed a letter and he's going to mail it to VSC. Now we hope they will approve it.

Best of luck to you! A lot of the military ones have been going through within a month of the evidence recieved. They seem to be the only ones going through right now but I'm glad they are at least doing them fast. Its so important that you get to be with your loved one before he deploys. Good luck!

Yeah we are hoping they will accept our evidence and approve our expedite request. It wouldn't be nice if I got my visa several months from now and when I am finally able to fly to the States, he will be deployed. So now we wait. Thank you!

Timeline

hey all, first time here, but have been struggling with the ol' visa process for a while. Back in October my wife-to-be and her daughter from Peru got all of our info ready. I hired an immigration "help" service. they weren't much help. I had to double check everything they told because they just got a lot of things wrong. The worst was that they sent me a pre-addressed envelope to send our I-129f....to Atlanta :(. so our application was lost forever. And they said I should also send in a waiver for the application fee, which was dumb, because it would show that I couldn't be a sponser. So I guess it was good that it was lost hehe

anyway, they went out of business shortly after. So after more research, more time, and another visit to Peru, we got it all straight. I sent our big pile of documents to vermont and they sent the NOA1 about 9 days later. So our process began on May 5th. I have been checking our online status everyday for almost a month but we're not on file :(

I read here on a few posts that this is kind of normal. I called the phone number on the NOA1 and, thru some creative button pressing, actually spoke to 2 humans. they were pretty helpful. I was told that my i-129f is there waiting to be processed.

I had a question about the g325's, too. I had signed mine and hers but was worried about that after researching more. The agent at uscis said that that was fine. so I guess now we wait.................so we're waiting....................maybe 4 months maybe 6.......

This website has been very helpful and has given hope when things seem impossible.

goodluck to all :)
