Hey everyone long time no post from us...

anyway we are so confused...on here it is saying that yes we need it....but then we called nearest civil surgeon and they are saying Gareth would have to go for 3 visits total and it would cost just under $400! Ummmm we already paid for his medical in London so this is why we are confused....

Then we read I-693 instructions and it said that if he came on K1 and it was within 1 year (he just got here in October) then we did NOT need it but then went on saying we need portions of it filled out including a part filled out by civil surgeon?!

Gareth than rang immigration services and they said he did not need it and to explain at the interview?!

At this point in the game no way will we even be able to get it if we do end up needing it but we are just wanting some sort of clarification. Wouldn't this form be in the sealed packet already he turned in upon entering the US?!

What will they most likely do to us if we do not have this form? Hopefully just put us in pending or something until we get it turned in?

OY VEY I am so ready for this stuff to be OVER!!!!

Thanks for any help!

DOH found my answer if I would have just read the pinned topics first hahaha

If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693 IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693.

Thanks anyway all!

Even if your vaccinations were not complete before K-1 issue, then you will need to inlude I-693, vaccinations part (part 2.5) ONLY. This should be transferred from DS-3025 by any approved panel physician in the US for a nominal fee - definitely not $400

Sunnybear~~ I wouldn't spend a dime until the interview. IF the interviewing person insists on immunizations transcribed onto an I-693, then they will give you time to do it. The problems and confusion started with some new rules and the new I-693 form during the summer. A lot of fall filers were stuck wondering what to do. If the medical was after June 1, then the rules seemed to indicate you had to get the DS3025 copied onto the new form, even if you had all the shots. Since then the USCIS website has change and added a little different opinion, yet still a bit confusing. Even the first of that VJ stickie has been updated and clarified a little. Now enough of the fall filers (like us) who didn't do an I-693 have gotten green cards without it. The person interviewing you may have his own opinion/interpretation and that's what you ultimately have to follow, but wait and see what he says. If he says you don't have a vaccination record on an I-693, then show him your DS3025 sheet and point out that the Embassy's panel physician indicated all the requirements were met before hubbie left the UK. And hopefully his medical records made it to match up with your file. There have been an awful lot of medicals "lost" and people had to pay $$$ to do it all over again.

Add to that the confusion about the TB test...

So was anyone who had their medical post-Aug. 1st denied or got a RFE because of a missing vaccination sheet or missing TB test in the I-693? Please let us know.

I know a couple here got grilled about using Dr. Arnold from Texas, thousand miles away from home, because of the racketeering by most Civil Surgeons who charge $250+ to fill out the vaccination section.
