I dont know what a clamplate is...maybe a plate full of clams? If so, that sounds delicious. With lots of lemon and tatar sauce.

Why is everyone getting so sick? Feel better, guys!

i know - it's one of them people that hit oil and moved to beverly!

What's up in MENA this morning??

Ah another Monday and it is going to be another hot one! We had low 90 degree weather Sat and Sun

and will have it again today. Oh my GOD I LOVE IT!! However I am not prepared for having such heat

in my 3rd floor apt...time to get the air conditioner already.. so we were roasting up there.

My little girl, 9, bugged me to let her have a lemonade stand and what a success!!! That lil' ####### made $40.00!

Just another day at the office and hubby starts the first of 2 treatments for his root canal.

Enjoy this beautiful day all.

she's probably doing a better job of stimulating the economy than the billions we threw at big business.

i just had my root canal on fri. what fun!

charles...if you don't mind me asking.

Did they do your root canal in 2 parts?

do you have insurance? we don't and the dentist says it will be about 550.00 does that sound right?

I dunno, I mean I know the dentist is expensive. I told hubby it would be cheaper to pull it, cuz he can't stomach paying that much money

when in Morocco he could have it done for a fraction of the cost...well this is not Morocco and part of the reason why your tooth is in such a state is because you didnt get or couldn't afford dental care...so?? You are here now and well he wants to save the tooth..what are our options?

I think none.

What did they do for your canal as well Charles? like the procedure.

1 hour and counting

3 parts actually - one day for root canal, took about an hour. cost about $450 with insurance for the root canal alone.

next part - about 2 weeks later for molding of crown. 2 weeks after that, install of crown. total cost to me about 950 (500 for crown).

saving the tooth is always the best option - consider a crown if necessary. root canals on back teeth have a better chance of lasting, i had one on a front tooth and broke it less than a year after the root canal. talk to the dentist about the differences between a ceramic crown versus a gold one. i'm going gold.

I go to the Arabic bakery and get the best big falafel's 3 for a buck. That way, I dont have to make a mess and cook. The man there is very nice and always gives me a fresh free one to eat while I walk out the door. I wouldn't dare attempt to make them at home. Too scary. :help:

I'm in bed. I ate cheese. The pain is bad. I don't know why I eat cheese anymore. Maybe coz I like it too much. But in the past year it causes me so much pain. Right now I want to double over from the stomach in pain. Is it normal to develop an intolerance at this age for dairy? I can't drink much coffee with cream in it anymore either nor drink milk. I can only eat a little ice cream at a time because it bothers my stomach and I love ice cream. Did they change something in their dairy products recently I don't know about? I have to remember this from now on. Stay away from all dairy. Ouuuuuuuuuuch! :crying:

Yes, it's normal to develop an intolerance for certain foods later in life. Try soy products. Not as good as dairy, but an acceptable substitute.
