Let them sucede. If they do, Mexico can reclaim it.

First order of business, National war on Mexico

Remember the Alamo...............

I can already see you in the trench with your sniper rifle.

:secret: that's not the best place for a sniper.

I'm neutral, for all I care TEXAS don't exist. Sorry Texans. It's not you. It's the politicians.

Texas can do whatever it wants, I don't really care. Those of you who are claiming Texas has some sort of obligation to stay within the United States no matter what sound a lot like the "imperialists" you so often decry. Funny right after Obama became president liberals ditched the "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" thing and now want everyone else to walk lock step with Obama's policies.

So if they do sucede do we still have to provide serect service to the retard that held office just a few month ago?

** Texas. and if it was not for them texans shutting the door at the alamo, Texas would of still be part of Mexico.

Looks like Texas will get its wishes. No more problems worrying about 1/4 of the illegals in the US.

I would assume that as soon as Texas became independent they would attempt to deport each and every illegal within its borders. There would probably in turn be some kind of Hispanic revolt that would lead to war with Mexico unless some sort of diplomatic solution was reached.

Mexicans can complain all they want about what the United States did to them in the past (many times rightfully so) but right now we're their government's safety valve for their disaffected citizens. What would all these jobless young men be doing if they were forced to stay within Mexico's borders? Possibly rising against the government. Then again, if you want to overthrow the Mexican government, I guess the United States is your worst enemy.

In my non-expert ignorant opinion, I'd say that TEXAS will never remain a neutral country. It'll be at War with Mexico, Columbia, etc... Or yet, I think TEXAS will announce war with any country or state that it finds a threat to them.

I would actually guess the opposite, just because it seems to be that a good portion of the Texas "conservatives" are not neocons as much as they are libertarian right wing, which would lead them to stay out of the affairs of others.

But I don't live in Texas, so who knows.

Actually the American taxpayer is getting off easy with Bush Jr. People living in Dallas are paying for 2 police officers to be on duty 24 hours a day outside his new house. Obviously this has the people of Dallas annoyed. Why should they have to pay to guard him? Isn't that the secret service's job? (and thus billed to all US residents)

Illegals would probably start leaving Texas for other states that are more "undocumented friendly." :D New Mexico, Arkansas, and Massachusetts sound about right.

Perhaps just some subconcious insight:

Columbia (IPA: /kəˈlʌmbiə/) is a poetic name for the United States of America and for the feminine symbolic personification thereof. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_(name)
