Dear my VJ members,

My husband just got a pink paper on Apr. 14. It's was about 30 minutes interview at the 7 door. ALmost all questions we prepared only the ID tax that I claim him for tax 2007. The CO asked him "How your wife got your SS?" --- He replied: "I don't understand" --- The CO explain agained "Your SS on her tax 2007" --- He replied "I don't know much but I know that she claimed me on and get $300 from Bush President  "

3 areas the CO strongly was going in too depth that:

1 - How you two knowing and meeting each other (how many trips, first place met, how long the relationship took) + engagemnet and wedding ceremony (if you are Catholic you should show "so gd Cong Giao and confirm letter from the Priest who did your wedding mass)

2 - Your spouse job (how much money make per hour, what position for her/his job, where she/he works)

3 - In my case --- I got pregnant from last trip --- (We have all ultrasound and report from hospital)

The CO also asked why he did not pass last interview. Finally, the CO handed our pink paper without any submit any thing more. The CO did not looked at any emails, chat logs, phone bills, ... He only flash through our wedding pictures, honeymoon pictures, my pregnancy pictures.

PS: We had Ly lich tu phap done in Aug 2008 still valid (not 6 months, it's valid for 1 year)

Thank you so much for your support all my journey. And good luck to every one. Keep praying and be patient.

God Bless you all,

H&H

Beautiful! Your husband performed very well under pressure...

How far along are you with the baby???? Stay focus and do not let your guard down until he steps foot on US soils.

hi hniHnitsuJ,

Thank you for cheering with us. We don't know exactly the percent rate of passing interview in HCMC at this period. My husband only estimate while his waiting time for his turn that it's about 60% pass. The good news is unlike last year, the COs do take time to invest and study for your case. So if your case is not complecated do not panic just stay in focus and practice your answers over and over with your spouse. Keep praying. You may forget every thing on the last day but with your faith your answers will clearly in your mind at the interview time. (based on my husband experience)

Here some tips from my husband got from his interview:

1. Bring all your evidence even you have a ton of emails or chat logs. All Pictures you + your spouse on. Reciepts of sending money, phone bills (highlight your spouse's cell phone and home phone), all stuff of your wedding spending ect. Eventhought, the CO may not ask to see them all but will show your statement of true relationship.

2. While your spouse waiting to be call for intervew (your number will appear on the digital screen with asign door) take all your evidence out of the clear plastic bags. Put them on your thighs to be ready (remember take off all unnecessary stuff such as clips, extra folders, ect. leave them on the chair) When your spouse comes to the door for interview, organize them in order in front of CO and put the important evidence near you and on top of every thing (if you are Catholic, "So GD Cong Giao + pictures when you made a vow turn reading right to the CO) in my case we are Catholic and I got pregnant. He put wedding pictures + ultrasound on top. (this tip my husband learned from a lady sat next to him)

>> This will make attention to the CO. He/she wil be flashed thru your evidence by follow you. You also impress him/her by your confident. Just don't do it lilke 10 minutes. Don't worry. The CO will wait for you to be ready for questions politely.

3. When you answers make eyes contact with smile to the CO. This will make you release stress and come you down. Answers with a strong, clear voice out of mouth.

4. If some questions you don't understand clearly please ask. Don't guess the answers if you don't know.

5. Wear the formal cloth no need for tie (nice shirt + Pants don't wear T-shirt and jean)

I hope this tips will help you out. I have over 100 questions (in vietnamese version only) you may download and study. All questions the CO ask my husband are in this question guide.

Wish the very best luck to you all for the up comming interview in HCMC.

God Bless you all,

H&H

Remember, how would you dress if you are given a chance to an interview for a miilion USD job? This worths more than a million to some of us. So Tshirt and jeans are never an option IMHO!
