Pyridium is something that turns your weewee bright orange... but they say it is quite effective... did not work for me though - too far gone am afraid

Did they do a culture before giving you that antibiotic? Ideally they should... coz otherwise you could be taking something that may not even work.

((((HUGS))) (F)

yes I am having that bright orange color :P , and it seems to have helped as I've not had any pain since taking it. They did a urine test, not sure if thats when they do a culture?

thanks! (F)

A culture could be done at the same time... but the results take at least 2 days to get.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

hmmm, ok. I don't think it's getting done. Since I went to the ER, they don't do follow ups, they say you should go to a DR for follow up if you want to. Tomorrow is my last day on the cipro (just had to take it for 3 days). So I'll see how it goes. The doctor said "you're a young, healthy girl, and you should be able to get rid of this easily", but hopefully he wasn't wrong! :(:P

That is pretty strange and I'm glad you're ok!

I must admit laughing at the image of Sujeet and the hacker moving and counter moving the mouse. I envisioned this OK button that the hacker was trying to click that would destroy the universe as Sujeet is furiously moving it away as it approaches.

Yeah.....I'm weird.

Make sure it's real cranberry juice you're drinking, not "juice cocktail." Personally I like Apple 'n' Eve or Northland (which guarantees at least 27% cranberry juice with the rest apple and pear, IIRC), although I think now Ocean Spray makes a 100% juice one as well. But "juice cocktail" is just sugar with hardly any juice, and you need as pure a juice as you can tolerate (pure cranberry juice is really, really nasty).

Also, drinking all the water you can stand should help.

Can you tell I've been there before? (Repeatedly?)

Feel better soon!!

Stina love, wait a week after completing the course of antibiotics... go and get a culture done... please.... coz you won't know if it is gone till that has been done. Get a routine + culture done. If there are pus cells in the routine it will let you know the extent of the infection - the culture will tell you if it is sterile - or if it is sensitive to any antibiotics. Going before a week is up would render the culture sterile regardless.

Thank you for to tip! I looked and what I was drinking was only 27% cranberry juice. I hadn't seen any 100%, but it was a little store I was in. I'll go find 100% today.
