On I864 Form, i am not sure what to put for question #24 E

"The person listed above, ----------------- Does not need to complete Form I-864A because he/she is the intending immigrant and has no accompanying dependents."

I am only doing this affidavit application for my spouse, so my question is should i be putting her name or leave that field blank? And also, i wont be using any one else's income.

Thanks

Question 24E refers to the name(s) you listed in 24B. If you left 24B blank and not using anyone else's income, you need to leave 24E blank. Otherwise, if you are including the intending immigrant's (your wife) income to meet the requirement, list her name.

Thanks a ton gixbr, I think you should be fine. Leaving blank is better than putting wrong value ;) I am sure I am not going to get through NVC anytime soon now. Specially with new 08 tax return issue we've been discussing in the other thread and now this new one for me.

I can not believe I am getting hammered for following an example form on this site!!!! Total nightmare!!!!

Champi,

I don't think NVC is going to catch that mistake...more than likely they will ignore.

Since we are using only my husband's income and not having any sponsors we used I-864EZ which is more to the point and got less questions.

Question 24E refers to the name(s) you listed in 24B. If you left 24B blank and not using anyone else's income, you need to leave 24E blank. Otherwise, if you are including the intending immigrant's (your wife) income to meet the requirement, list her name.

Ditto. If she is not living with you then don't put her "above".

Are we allowed to leave it as Blank ?

I was thinking of putting N/A for 24 B and E ...

Initially, I was planning to put my wife's name there...that question is kind of tricky!!! Thank you for explaining this...

My husband left 24E blank and our AOS has been accepted. Hope this helps.
