Look there is nothing you can do about it but wait, lets hope it is not to long, they always give the longest time so you dont hassle them before hand

I wish there was something I could to to help or make you feel better honey

They actually didn't tell me why...I explained the situation to them, showed them the police letter and the guy didn't seem to cuddly about it. He went away, spoke to someone and came back, and then showed me the blue paper. Because they hadn't asked me about my affadavit of support the first time I went up, he originally was going to ask for it -- but I did have it so he ticked the second box on the blue slip. It more or less said that they have to carry out additional administrative processing and I would have to sit on my hands and bear it.

:( You guys are sweet to ask, but despite taking a nap to try unwind a bit, I'm still bummed out.

Magpie.

I seem to recall a few years ago another poster who was born in India (Melo) went into AP and it was over for her very quickly. I'm not sure if I'm connecting the dots correctly about not being born in Britain and going on AP, but it does seem to happen.

Just got in from work and wanted to add to the general sentiments already expressed - so sorry to hear about your day, Magpie. You must be feeling pretty rotten. I know it's cold comfort but like another poster said, at least it's not a denial and I just hope AP won't be too long for you. love.
