So I called the NVC number a couple minutes ago and talked to the operator. I was relieved that she has the NVC case #. Now just waiting for the next step.

Wow, maybe they are finally back to actually working! As I've said, I will call them again, and when I did, they actually asked me to verify information. I provided my and her email address. They had my address correct, but for some reason, they got my phone number wrong?!?! So I corrected her with my correct phone number. Regardless, I asked her when they have received it, she said yesterday. The lady was not very nice, but regardless, I am happy that I finally got my petition. Thank God!!! Now I just hope it will get pass NVC quickly and on to Hong Kong. Again, good luck to us all.

Hi .. glad you finally got your case #. Congrats on that step, and hope everything moves quickly for you now.

For everyone who is facing this problem, keep in mind that NVC is obviously up to something in recent months.

Starting approx. last November they began holding up cases for AP (Administrative Processing) at NVC in unusually high numbers and for extended periods of time - up to about 7 weeks. Perhaps this latest wrinkle of delaying the issuing of NVC case #s of NOA2 approvals is part of the same "game" they are playing. This is a trend worth following.

Good luck to all.

Yes, hopefully our petition wont' be held too long and will be forwarded to our SO's consulate quickly. I just don't understand how it all works at NVC, not that I understand how CIS works or anywhere else. Anyways, I was so happy that forgot to ask for my NVC case number the first time I called so I called again and asked for it. All K1s, please process through NVC quickly!!!!!! Best of luck to us all!!!!

I see that some people have been getting received at the NVC. FINALLY!

For those who have recently been received, I hope:

- you sail right out to the :star: embassy of choice :star:

- you avoid AP (do not pass Go, do not collect $200).

I have yet to get in.

I know how frustrating it can be. Our case took 15 days from notice date on our NOA2, the last few days was really really aggrevating. I basically called NVC day and night because ... they do update their case in the evening if not updated in the morning. I suppose, just keep trying until they receives the case. I also emailed NVC, and received a notice in the mail for response upon my inquiry. They are pretty good with emails. I'll scanned my NOA 2 and attached it in the email for NVC. It worked for me.

Congrats!!! And guess what, I was so afraid to call NVC to check on the status, I wanted to wait until someone else from this thread to call and get the good news first and then I will check also. So when I saw your post, I immediately called and my was also sent out to Hong Kong on April 13th!!!!!!!! That is so great!!! Thank God!!! Good luck to you all!!!!

I guess now all of us have had our case received by the NVC ^-^ Its' definitely a relief! I guess NVC will always eventually receive your case and file.... they may be misplaced and may take longer i suppose. But it will get there when you see a NOA2.
