Congrats K.D. & GS!!!! That's great....now for the interview date...come on NVC!!!!!! Please!! Oh & we got case complete 2 weeks ago & NVC sent us an e-mail last night requesting the IV fee to be paid...really??? I called NVC and the operator was like...oh just ignore that. Seriously???

Yes, I got an RFE after case was complete asking me to check that the consulate received my police record...when i was requested to send it to NVC. Who knows whats really going on in there! But yes, we should stay focused on interview!!! Its coming...I can smell it!!!!

I've to warn you about two things though. 1) Our cases only gets sent to Embassy after interview is scheduled. 2) There is no way (that I know of) to find out which package is yours. So, if you see two packages going to Bombay, India, no way to tell which one is yours or even if it is yours.

Champi, what about His_Wifey below who said they sent her case to the embassy but she still doesn't have an interview date?

By logic she should have an interview date already right? I also didn't understand that one!

Congrats all who just got case completed at NVC.... im waiting to hear from embassy as well.... but i just checked again with AVR and its saying that my case was forwarded to my consulate on the same day it was completed.... and that for further questions i have to contact my consulate.... hope that we all hear something positive real soon :)

Hi gibxr.... as i stated already it could be coz i had n expedite at NVC and my consulate asked for the case to be sent to them... thats the reason why it was sent...when its an expedite its a totally different process

The only logic I can come up with is, either his embassy operates differently from ours (Appointment Post. vs Standard Post).

Has His_Wifey filed for K3 also? Maybe her K3 interview is already scheduled and that's why consulate requested her file early?

:whistle: Ok so the operators must be tired of hearing the same questions they all seem to say last few days Sir you will just have to be patient I don't see it yet just try calling back in a week yeah right I am not gonna wait a week that's why I know everything by heart when I dial. just spoke to an operator after three days of patiently waiting. the only thing i got from her is that my case had not been updated yet and she was not allowed to tell me what the status of the case was. what kind of answer is that? it really depends on who you talk to...good luck everyone...

Dated since 2004, 10/22/2008 Married in NY, wife left the country, returns on 01/06/2009 as a visitor (granted stay until July 2009)

01/15/2009 Sent I-130 package for CR1 to Chicago Lock Box, 01/19/2009 USCIS Chicago received the application

01/26/2009 USCIS sent out NOA1, 01/28/2009 Moneygrams Order cashed

02/24/2009 Case is in Vermont Processing Center (told by the USCIS by calling the free phone line)

03/02/2009 NOA2 mailed, application approved!!!! (47 days since we mailed I-130 package)

03/05/2009 NVC Received Case / Case number assigned

it may be like tht oceansea,

yesterday i tried calling them for my case status and to my astonishment for three times the phone got disconnected after i gave them DOB, Names and E-mail id etc.... how can 3 times phones cut at same time for three times.. finally on 4th time thr ws lady who answered me tht my case is completed but dint tell when?????? i called on 5th time and got one male operator who told me tht case completed and i shd call them in 2nd week of may blah.. blah... blah... i asked the date of case completion and he started arguing with me tht Mam yr phone is on speaker ?" i said no....... and 3 times he asked same thing finally when i almost shouted tht my phone is not on speaker and kindly tell me the date of my case completion he said 20th and again started speaking tht call us on may 2nd week and yr case is not transfered and the interview date is not assigned and blah. blah... blah.. for 3 -4 more minuts.. finally i disconnected the phone...

try calling them twice daily!!!!!!!! :)
