thanks and may you all have case complete soon :)

It varies from Consulate to Consulate....Like in my Case Montreal does not post interview dates on the website...so I am totally Clueless there :(

I'm not sure I understand - if an embassy still has interview slots available in May, wouldn't they keep filling them until May is full? Wouldn't it depend on how busy each embassy is? Why move on to June if they can still fit people into May? If the NVC says "May is closed," does that mean the NVC doesn't start making the next round of appointments (for June) until the first two weeks of May?

This is just my hypothesis from the way I saw them work, but for May interviews, NVC get list from embassies of slots available in late March/ eary April, then NVC schedule interviews for May in 2nd week of April. After 2nd week of April is over, NVC moves on to June interviews. They will schedule June interviews for most in 2nd week of May.

For people who had their case complete in time for May interviews but did not get a spot due to limited slots in their embassy, they may get a June date by late April and may not have to wait until mid-May.

For people who had their case complete after the 2nd week of April and their embassy had spots available for May, NVC cannot really go back to schedule May interviews for them. NVC is done with May interviews after 2nd week of April and will schedule for June.

The only way you may get a May interview if you missed deadline with NVC is to ask Embassy directly to bump you up if the Embassy has spots available. Note that I have not seen too many cases of embassies agreeing to this as most embassies defer to the NVC and are busy/filled, or they require a good reason why you can't wait (other than I've been waiting a freaking year!!!! )

Thanks for the explanation, HSB. I think I understand. The Casablanca US consulate website specifically states not to request to move an appointment forward. From what I've read, they're famously unfriendly - I wouldn't even try. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Case not even completed yet. At least it's Monday. I now love Mondays! :pop:

 so do I lol So bored waiting for case completion. I was never this bored waiting for approval...Frustrated, yes, emotional, yes, but bored is a new concept...almost fed up w/ how long the process is taking! Honestly, all in all approval/NVC completion should take 3 mons tops!! :protest::ranting::protest: Oh yeah and the attitude they give u when u call to inquire about ur case "Oh we ONLY started reviewing ur case on April 2nd" pleassssseeeeee making it seem like it's too soon!! whatever!!! They need to think again if they think that will intimidate me into not calling!! Today is day 269 since we started this process. So if to NVC it seems relatively recent, let them try waiting for their loved one 200+ days and then we'll c how u feel!!!

This is how I feel.... :dead::dead::dead: I want my hubby!! :crying:

Many of you have been waiting much longer than me due to the VSC backlog - I was lucky in that regard - but believe me, I feel your pain. My boyfriend/then fiance/now husband and I had to wait YEARS until I was eligible for US citizenship in order to petition him, so I feel like we've already been through the worst of the waiting. Now our eyes are on the prize.

We'll get there

Congratssss Champi,

pls let me know when ur interview is assigned, another member suggested me to call every day to inquire, his interview was scheduled end of the month as he was calling,so perhaps they never close scheduling.God knows

Did you try to log in to online fee payment yesterday. It started giving me this error yesterday around 9:30 and i posted it on VJ and members told me that you usually get this error when your case is in process of completion which was true.An error bringing good news for the first time in my life.

Hope every one here has their cases completed soon.It was just monday yesterday and lot of cases were completed.Perhaps they are not concentrating on interview scheduling now and thus giving all their time for case completion to be able to get june interviews. So lets hope for the best guys.

Hey Guys,

One good news, my case is COMPLETE....:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yey!!!!!!! I was expecting, even hoping, I would hear the same boring message I've been hearing for past 8 days.... I didn't want to hear "missing document" message. When I called this morning, I called and it said, your case was completed on April 13,... To make sure I wasn't dreaming, i verified it again.... And just now, I tried to login to online fees payment website and it says

* Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error

I also feel little guilty because it was not fair to get my case completed when other people who sent the papers before me are waiting. I sincerely hope everyone gets their happy day soon.

I can finally start drinking soda!!!! :D :D D: :D

Congratulations Champi! This is good news! LEt's hope you can get interview soon!!!

Lets also hope mine comes through soon too - we are only a 4 days behind your dates!!

Cheers :thumbs::dance:

Congratulations Atk and Champi! Fantastic news!

And great to hear you're under final review, Corinne. We're on the same time track, so hopefully I am too! I'll call tonight.
