I would use personal check especially if they have both your names on em. Otherwise it is up to you as long as you got the money right. If personal check, make sure they don't bounce.

The advantage with personals check, you know when USCIS got your money whereas money orders you have to keep the receipt and there is almost no way of knowing when USCIS cashed em.

On this one it would be your choice frangin!!!!!

Use personal cheque. The other advantage is that when USCIS cashes the cheque they generally write the case number on the back of your check so you can find out that information from looking at the cheque image through your bank's online service. Of course, you will receive the NOA shortly as well but it is a neat feeling to get the case number from the cheque even sooner.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
