I have been sitting on my case wondering why I have not heard anything back in months and reopened my paperwork to find a surprise - I need to send them back the bill showing I paid! DOH!

So far, I think all I have to do is:

For the AOS Bill:

I send the receipt and the cover page

For the IV Bill:

I send the receipt and the cover page

Is this correct? It said that sending in documentation that is not need or that is not asked for will increase the waiting period so I want to confirm before sending.

Are those the only things I need to send before they will send me the I-864 & DS230 packet? (I have already filled them out and am awaiting sending these in)

Thanks!

If you paid through the online website, which it sounds like you did, send a copy of your bank statement which shows the AOS and IV bills were paid. Print out the receipts from the online website as well, and send those in as well. Good Luck!!!

I just sent the barcoded page, you cannot print that until you have paid the bill so that should be proof enough (I HOPE!)

I am also very confused about this. Since NVC now switched to email, and I have paid my bills online and printed both cover sheets for AOS and IV bills, then am I ok to proceed and mail everything in or do I wait for another confirmation email telling me to go on and mail my packets? we have everything ready, we are simply waiting to make sure we can send and it won't create delays b/c on their website there is a clear warning abt not sending in anything w/o NVC authorization. Operators have not been very helpful and my lawyer believes we need to wait for further instructions!
