Probably you will get a RFE, but it is not a big deal. You will get your GC eventually.

They always look at the financial situations, Joint Tax Return, Joint Bank Account, Joint Health

Insurance, Joint Car Insurance, Your Common Residence etc........

GOOD Luck !.... Check your mailbox for Cris e-mails & on-line updates related to AOS.

yeah i am kinda peeved about the 'not proving joint account thing' i'd be a lil concerned about that. what did u provide in terms of evidence? did u have a joint account?

YES! We have a joint account, they would call to the bank and they will check it... He just want to make sure our credits cards belongs to the same account... and another thing is that my wife has not ID for NY and He asked her to make one and come back...

it looks like it would be fine... more that a RFE

what he wortes in his passport was his name, my A number, the date and the green card I was applying for.

didn't you bring joint statements? do they normally call banks? i doubt you will get that gc in 6 weeks. getting the NY ID takes anywhere from 3-6 weeks. i just hope you not being too complacent. although you think you might get approved, the fact that he had questions about your joint account (which btw is a major factor), is a big deal to me and i would take it seriously.

Banks are not supposed to give info to anybody including USCIS.

FYI, banks only give bank account info to account holders & of course IRS, NOBODYELSE!...

So, If you ever get RFE about it, just send the original recent bank joint account statement

to the attention of IO who's done your interview.

GOOD LUCK !.....

I think we must have had the same IO, as he wrote that same stuff in my husband's passport, but didn't approve us (he also didn't request additional evidence, yet told us he had 60 days to make the decision). I've never heard of any other IO officer writing in the passport before now!

Good luck getting all that together..it sounds like you're good to go!

5-13-09: Green card approved.

8-13-11: Received 10-year green card.

Congratulations! That is great news:-).

CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
