Hi,

We got approved on the 26th Feb 09. It has been two weeks today and the NVC has not received our file !!!! I have used the recorded service and spoken to an operator. Today she told me it could take up to 90 days for the USCIS to mail it to them - Can someone tell me how do they send it - On the back of a Snail across America????

I hear you and feel the pain...After initial excitement of getting approved quickly, the whole attitude has died down for me. One of the VJ member who is also approved in first week of March posted that his lawyer said he'll hear back from NVC in April. I am still secretly hoping that we'll hear from NVC soon but not holding my breath anymore and working towards being patient and calm now :)

So, count me in :) Good luck to all...

it takes like a month and half to receive ur packet 4 once u get approved well thats what happened to meour case was approved in dec and got packet four like the 3rd week of jan and got interview in feb!

oops my bad! for some reason i thought the case was approved and was going to the beneficiary. well u should get that within 2 weeks for it to be send home. i got mine within a week including weekends. best of luck all!

Mine was approved FEB 19th and I recieved the letter about 3 or 4 days later from the NVC. I have how ever sent in the DS-3032 two weeks ago and have no heard a thing from them . So who knows if they even got it

things you can do while waiting for your case number to be assigned is to download the AOS( I-864) the DS-230 and get those filled out and start collecting the needed documents. It will help you fly through NVC and gives you something to do instead of watching the mail box. That is best suggestion i can give. Review the short cuts listed on the wiki link
