AR-11 Change of Address

Hi guys,

Thankfully I haven't had to post here in a while but I have a quick question. I will be removing conditions next year and am currently in possession of my 2 year Green Card.

Myself & my wife recently moved & I filled out the online AR-11 form about a month ago. After being very patient we still have not received our address change confirmation in the mail. Is there a certain time limit after which I should become concerned?

I've been thinking about making an infopass appointment but wondered if there was an easier way to chase this up? or perhaps some other advice or info anyone has?

Thanks so much,

if you mail in the AR-11 you probably won't get a confirmation.. that is why it is best to send it certified so you know they got it..

or fill out the AR-11 online..

I not only did the AR-11 on line but I also sent the hard copy via mail. When I called to confirm that they have received the information (since the rep. stated that I will receive something within 45 days) they stated that the mail was never received and that "we must of had an issue with the system" eventhough I had a confirmation ####.... I recommend that you contact them personally AFTER all is done to confirm.

GOOD LUCK

Also bear in mind that the AR-11 only changes your address on their system, not on any pending cases (which it seems you do not have).

I received a confirmation letter fairly quickly, but I'm not sure if that was in response to the AR-11 or the fact that I phoned to ensure they updated my address on the I-751 also, which was pending at the time. The confirmation letter mentioned that they had updated both the system and the pending case.

hmmm... I filed an AR-11 online back in December, but never received any confirmation. I did not know that I was supposed to. My husband filed an I-865 for the affidavit, and he did receive a confirmation.

We have now moved again, and refiled the same forms with our new address. How long should I wait before checking to make sure the AR-11 was received, considering I didn't get a confirmation the first time?

I never received a confirmation for my AR-11, but my hubbie (the US citizen) got a confirmation for his change of address. All my stuff came to the new address though. You can call USCIS and check that it got changed.
