joke of the day;

ok so this girl calls the NVC just for kicks and she gets a live person on the line

so this live person hands a bunch of ####### her way.

The live operators told the girl that the packages take 4-6 weeks to get to the VISA CENTER.

So the girl laughs her A$$ off and askes where the NVC is located. The operator tell her New Hampshire. So the girl starts laughing even more. Vermont to NH. Yea...ok and the operator says " remember it is sent BULK mail" ok, I can send a FED EX letter to my husband and it can get there over night to Costa Rica... by 10am. OK granted thats FED EX but come on..... THe snail mail system ain't that bad.

I thought these people would be a little better to deal with. Do they have to train to know how to dish out BS??? I bet its a 6 week training course. :bonk:

 Sounds like they drank all of our margaritas and champagne and got dizzy lol What better way to start the party than with VSC or NVC jokes. Thank U jen for the little story...Seriously it could reach ALASKA much faster than NH LOLROG...this is all so ironic especially since your congressman already told you your petitions are on their way to NVC and have left VSC today!! They just don't know, WE are VJ suckers soon to be VJ graduates  Isn't it weird how our petitions might be in the same bulk mail she was talking about .......WOWWWWWW WEIRDDDDDDDDDD BUT IN A GOOD WAYYYYYYYY!! :P

I forgot it was weekend party time!!

I'll included my VJ cake recipe

serves 1 (if your on VJ, you don't need to serve more than 1 unless you are very hungry)

Take cake mix of choice, pour a little into microwave plastic ware, add milk or soy milk. Stir. Microwave about a minute.

Take out. Eat.

Alternatives:

Add spoonful of peanut butter to middle and watch it melt when you split open your cake.

Oh I forgot to add I got a letter from NVC today saying they had sent my K3 to Albania. The letter is dated February 20th. My husband has had his packet since Monday.

Yea I could have driven to NH in about 7 hours maybe. HMMM 7 hours of only spanish. I might pick up something.. Yes we would have had a good time. I still think you should fly to CR with me. 5 hours of chit chatting . I get so bored on the plane. One time I got to fly on one of those planes that had the personal TV screens for each seat. It was the best thing ever. I watch " Everybody Loves Raymond",, Old Chirstine... and watched a movie... and it had a navigational thing where you could track the flight.

OK I need to VENT for two seconds. I finally told Tucho the news. That phone call was like 5 minutes. He told me he was on his way back to his moms and he would call me in like an hour. So I waited for 3 hours or so and I couldn't take it anymore so I called his moms. His sister put him on the phone. I told him he was killing me because I want to talk with him. He said he wasn't even there that long and he had to wash the motorcycle and he was going to call me later.... Im like.... #######??? I am dying to talk with him and he is so casual about it all. He was excited when I told him at first but was on his way down the mountain... he couldn't talk.... If that was me I'd be on the phone that second. What is it with men???? Steve, chime in at any moment.... this is your que.

Does anyone have windows live messenger? we could get a chat room going and talk real time instead of posting.

My husband didn't understand or seem excited either when I told him. Also the concept of you've been approved to move to the next step but no you don't have a visa yet is kind of difficult to explain with limited communications skills. I guess I had been praying for that email since June and it meant more for me.

Im worried because I am happy for this approval but I don't want to give him the wrong idea and have him think he is getting a visa automatically... I hate this language barrier.

I wish I could make sure he understands that he could get denied at the interview. He has been so anit-immigration for a while. he didn't want to talk about it at all. He told me not to say one word about it until they approved him.
