I've never gotten naked for a doctor here or in Germany. It's never come up? Even when I gave birth, I still had a shirt on. I was really hoping for one of those gowns because slimy newborn goo was not what I wanted to get all over my shirt. But better the shirt than me. Alas, they are cheap or something and I had to wear my own clothes.

Yeah, the gown for the top but the bottom half completely exposed.....even to anyone walking by the room

Lucky for me, I was the only woman giving birth then. There was one other woman in labor, but I scared the ####### out of her and her family, so they didn't leave the room that I was aware of. Besides the kreissaal was completely locked, so only people who had a reason to see my beaver could get a glance at it. I wasn't worried about some Joe Pervert takin pics or anything. At the same time, I saw no need to get completely naked either.

Trust me, if they've seen one, they've seen 'em all.

I am a nurse and I have seen all shapes, ages and sizes of people naked and it's your job you really don't notice unless it's something totally bizarre like Ms. Pacman chasing the cherry tattoo in a very strange place. LOL

Medical Doctors are licensed. Therefore, they must follow an ethical code in order to be able to practice medicine. After spending so many years in school, it would be ashame to have the license revoked. So, I m 100% comfortable to reveal my body in front of the doctor.

On the other hand, I would not trust Japanese doctors one bit. They may have secret surveillance cameras everywhere.
