Hi Marchers... I haven't been active in this thread, but just wanted to pop in and give you guys some good vibes and wish you good luck in getting NOA2s quickly.... I can't believe that some April filers (with MAY NOA1s like me!) are getting their NOA2s already!! It's heart breaking for ME, let alone how you guys must feel. This month is YOUR month!! Good luck!

Also, Danu, that's great news about the response you got! I'll have to keep that in mind if it ends up that my process takes a little too long for me to comfortably be there at the start of January.

Definately hon! Theres no harm at all in asking, the worst they could have said was no. I'll keep you updated :D, just waiting on them to log my package so I actually get on the list.

Good luck, Guys! Hopefully all the Marchers (lol... sounds funny, doesn't it?) will have their approvals soon! Anyone get any touches on Friday?

I got a touch on Friday too! Looks like our timelines are similar, Ian and Lisa. Keeping my fingers crossed. Interesting to see though that some April and May filers are already starting to get their approvals now and they aren't even finished with March... Not sure how CSC prioritizes their workload - or if they even have a method?

Anyone else who was approved on March 12th know if their file was received by NVC? I plan to call tomorrow to find out. Good luck to everyone, and for those still waiting for approvals, stay strong. Your NOA2 is coming!

I know our case is at the NVC. my sweeties mom knows the senator and had him call uscis, which I don't think sped up anything, but the senator followed up and found out that our case is at the NVC. just don't know when they got it. The senator said that he will make sure it will only be at nvc for a week. I am interested to see how that will work out. I will call tomorrow too to find out the exact dates and our new case number.

noticed the april approvals. again and again uscis seems to be wanting to confuse us. there is absolutely no logic explanation. happy for those who got their noa2 already. feel for those who are still waiting. hang in there. hopefully you will all be approved soon.

Hello to all, its been awfully quiet weekend on the approval front unlike last weekend when we had about 10 approvals. So far our case has had no touches but the day they cashed our check. Just wanted to keep everyone up to date. Lets hope we get some good news in the coming days.

Good news for you! I just called NVC, and they have not received our case yet. In a little while, I will call USCIS to ensure that it has been sent. When you called NVC did you give just the NOA2 receipt number or did they look it up by name? I am thinking that their system may not recognize the receipt number bec it is not linked to USCIS. Thanks!

they look it up by the USCIS number, but it will not tell you on the automated system if its there or not, you have to speak to someone because the K1's are put through NVC slightly differently.

just called nvc to find out when they got our case. gave them our uscis # wacxxxxxxxxx and guess what they told me it is not in their system yet. so my guess is that uscis has sent it but it wasn't put in the nvc system yet. she also asked me if I have the approval notice in front of me which I didn't. haven't talked to my sweety today yet, so don't know if he got it in the mail yet. not sure why she asked about it. is there a new case number on it?

different question. those of you filling out the forms for the consulate. I find that there is little room for answers on some forms. for previous visas I had to fill out similar forms and never had to make attachments. this time there are at least three question where there is not enough room for my answers. is there any way to change the font size?

hope everyone is doing good. hope we see some more marchers get approved. go csc go (vsc too of course)

I don't think so, I just made extra sheets in word called "DS-230 Question #: Work History past 10 years" or whatever the question was, then made little tables and filled them in, signed it and sent it all back in, much like I did for Question #18, how we met on, for the original applilcation.

I don't think so. Mine puts you in line when you return the P3, I just have to have had the medical before the interview date. Some consulates send out the medical date to you (philipines) but most you just call your medical place and get an appointment yourself. If you DL'd the P3 inside it should have something like.

A checklist - tells you everything you need, police certs etc, and what to send back (usually just the signed checklist and DS-230)

DS-230 Part 1 - the application for your actual visa

DS-156k - the part of the documentation you need to fill out and bring with you, but DO NOT SIGN, it is your declaration that everything you have told them is truthful

DS-156 - another application for visa - replaces teh DS-230 part 2 which only married people or people coming on other immigrant visas fill out.

I-134 - the documentation for proof of support, to be filled out by the USC (though its usually easier to get the USC to DL the one off the website and fill it out rather than having to send it back and forth)

And some consulates, but not all, are using the DS-160 now which is an online form. It is to be filled out prior to the interview. It is intended to replace the DS-156 at some point, but right now as its in testing, most of the consulates who ask for it still ask for the DS-156 to be filled out when they send P4 which is the packet that will tell you your interview date.

kayandnigel - hope they get done your package really quickly. Looks like most people with RFE's got finished processing in about 1-2 weeks after USCIS got the info back!

here is the link to the document checklist my consulat (frankfurt) is sending out. If you read through it, it also lists the ds-157 which I always that was for male applicants only, but on the checklist it says the form applies to all applicants from age 16.

that's what I was afraid of. just a little extra work to do the attachments. oh, well, not that bad. got almost everything else together. my fiance got our approval notice today. he was so sweet telling me what was written on the notice about the next steps and so on. and I kept thinking, "I know, honey." might sound strange but he never really knew all the steps our petitions go through. he barely knows vj exists. :star:

good night everyone. when i wake up tomorrow, i expect to see some more approvals
