When I called I get escalated to the next level of customer service, they see that everything is received but it just says pending. Yesterday when I called the lady said she sent out an inquiry to get me a Biometrics appointment set up. Who knows if they actually did anything, but I will just wait and see.

Did you call the number on the NOA or some other number? When I call the 1-800-375-5283 on the NOA I get nowhere cause it doesn't recognize any of my receipt numbers.

Don't put in the receipt number got through option 1 (Get forms), and then use the one where you don't know what form it is, and it will get you to an operator.

Does the beneficiary have to call?? aka my husband (since he is the 1 who is getting the green card) or can i call? because there was a BIG problem with that before, the stupid woman wouldnt let me find out anything b/c i wasnt my husband and he wasnt present. I even offered to read out numbers and social security numbers and birthdays, and it still didnt work. So did any petitioners call about the status of their AOS on behalf of their SO who was not present????? AND HAVE LUCK??? if so,.... im gna call too to see whats up with my case.

You can ask about it, but when they get to the part about verifying the information on the escalated call, they will ask to speak to your husband, and get his name, DOB, and ask if he is giving them permission to speak to you.

Yah thats the part that sucks. I am 3 hours away from my husband going to college, and the only time i see him is on weekends, (USCIS isnt open then) so ima have to wait until it rains 1 day so my husband doesnt go to landscaping and i can call sometime after i finish out this semester. WHAT A PAIN IN THE A&&!!!!

I dont have 3 way, the woman who wouldnt let me know the status suggested that. And i think the same way you do. NO DAMN WAY I AM LETTING SOM1 TELL ME I CANT KNOW THE STATUS OF MY HUSBANDS PAPERWORK THAT I DID AND COMPLETED FOR HIM!!!! but i think i would totally blow it if i did the fake voice thing. I mght just have alfredo call if it rains 1 day at landscaping, but i am worried he wont know what he is doing. I know he does....but when it comes to important things like his papers....hahah i would rather i did it.

Congrulation to..Amrit Rai :star: & Andyjona :star: on Transfer AOS to CSC

Thanks dear, whats up with you guys? I hope you get the good news soon.

Love,

Amrit & Rob

Just out f curiousity, and this isnt just aimed at you guys, anybody feel free to answer my probably stupid question, but i was looking at your signature and your timeline. Your biometrics was completed the 14th, and you just got a letter saying that your case was transferred to CSC, which is great, but how do they transfer your case on the 7th, when on the 7th, you still hadnt completed your biometrics??? My husband did his biometrics April 10th, shouldnt we be expecting some kind of letter soon? I thought that they needed to have EVERYTHING including biometrics DONE before they could transfer you to CSC?? am i mistaken???

I guess it's not really necessary to have the biometrics done before they transfer the case cos my biometrics would be this 23rd and they transferred our application on the 14th. I've seen some cases here (VisajOurney) that their case was transferred after their biometrics too.

Mine was transferred as well before biometrics..I received my biometrics notice of appointment April 13th,They transferred my case April 17th and my biometrics will be tomorrow April 24th.

What would be the best way to check up the status (no luck through USCIS web-page)? Will call center be able to give indication on staus?

When I called I get escalated to the next level of customer service, they see that everything is received but it just says pending. Yesterday when I called the lady said she sent out an inquiry to get me a Biometrics appointment set up. Who knows if they actually did anything, but I will just wait and see.

Friends,

What the numbers I should press on the phone to talk to some1 and check my status with the USCIS?

Calling USCIS is useless.. If you are close to a local office, make an Infopass appointment.

Edit to add: You have nothing to worry about yet... I would wait another couple of weeks before worrying.
