Yeah Canada! I worked at a hotel for 8 years and we had guests from all over the world and they always commented on how friendly Canadians were. Its funny when I go down to see my sweetie, I say hello to people I pass, some just ignore me, some actually surprised will say hello back. We went to Walmart one night and I was talking to the cashier and pretty well got one or two word answers then she asked me where I was from because of the Cape Breton accent and when I said Canada you would have thought we were long lost friends. She chatted up a storm, then the other two cashiers came over talking about Canada. It was rather funny! Now my honey understands when I tell him that I won't stop saying hello to people even if they are ignorant back. It takes alot more work to show a frown then it does a smile.

Took my wife to the Grand Hotel in Mackinac island, not quite Canada but close for lunch. Just paid the five bucks for that all day pass and we were wearing jeans as we were cycling, but they did let us in. Noticed the all dressed up guests were very rude to the employees, we were very nice, in turn, they were giving us extra helpings and great service. Certainly met my share of people in high positions in the corporate world that felt they didn't have to be nice, never get angry, just get even. It pays to be nice.

Belgium was weird.

I went to Brussels and I did not gain any high opinion of French speaking Beligum. It was one of the worst, most rude places I have been in Europe. I mean, when people are trying to literally run over others in the street and you can hear the drivers and passengers laughing like hyenas about it. I got flipped off because I didn't know when the bus came in good enough French. Christ, it was so dirty, garbage and graffiti everywhere. A lot of the girls at the hostel learned after one night not to go out after dark alone. Just too many creepy guys out after dark. I had the great fortune of going in 2003, you know, the start of the Iraq War. Hard to go anywhere without reading on the walls how sheetty your country was.

Then I went to Antwerp in the Dutch speaking region and it was a complete 180. It was very clean, very safe, people were much, much more friendly. So, I left Beligum having no idea what to actually think of it. I'd go back to Antwerp.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

My choices.

1. Ireland

2. Australia

3. Netherlands

Those are my choices out of the 20+ countries I've been to.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

France is friendly but with people coming from the US, that's why the world has a totally different opinion about France than people here in the US.
