Pack from London lost in the post!

Hi guys

I was registered on here a while ago, but for some reason the log in is no longer working, so i've re-registered. I'll fill in the timeline again as soon as I can.

However, I have a question in the meantime. We have had our NOA2, everything got to the embassy in London alright, but I am yet to receive the pack. I called up and negotiated the £1.20 a minute help centre to find out it was posted on January 11th.

I've emailed LondonConsular@state.gov, but as yet no more information from them. Does anyone have any idea when I can expect to hear anything from anyone, or the information that I so desperately need regarding the medical and interview?

Thanks as always chaps

Dan

i think they take a couple of days to reply to the email.

did you ask about the length of time it should take to arrive when you called the embassy? mine took a couple of weeks to get to me back in october/november.

that is the website of the doctors that perform the medical.

When you emailed the consulate did you phone and get the special 'code' to put in the subject line of your email?

If not they might miss/not read your email. If you did then it can take 2-5 days to get a reply.

If they say they have sent it and you still don't have it then ask them to resend - sometimes things do get lost in the post.

My interview letter went astray - in fact a neighbour's dog stole it from the postman and hid it in his bed and his owner found it a week later - but as I didn't know this I got the Embassy to send a replacement.

Hi guys, thanks for all the speedy replies!

Yep, I got the code included that in the email (both the title and the message body!), but nothing as yet. I know they say 3-4 working days, but I was more concerned how long it would take for things to get to me if it all has to be re-sent...?

I'm assuming they have a copy of everything in London that they need, but why would you need to email them if that was the case? Why not just send the stuff back out?

the package 3 letter I received from London last week just refers you to these 2 websites to download the documents you need to return and for the info for the medical.

http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/iv-15.html

http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/medexam.html

You can print it all off and send it without having to wait to receive the letter again from them.

Thank you!

You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Or a gentlelady, and a scholar if that's more appropriate!

Will go through all the forms linked above - fantastic that you can't save them before printing isn't it?

Yes! Make sure you have a good internet connection and printer full of ink!

Have you called to book your medical?

You can always come over here to hang out and get help...

Have you called to book your medical?

Yes, did that a few days back. All booked up for Friday the 13th :D Hope the snow's cleared by then!

Am working through the forms now - I don't have a printer at home, so am having to do them at work.

How do you fill in the section about how long you are staying, the purpose of your trip and how you're paying for it? Just N/A it all?
