We did not plan it. We wanted to wait a couple of years so Daniel was back home from his deployment and we would have had a year or so to settle down. But then it just happened within 4 months of us being married (even though I have a thyroid problem and my doctor in India had scared me to death about infertility and we were not even expecting to get pregnant so easily). I am 31, going to be 32 in feb so its not too early for me. Don't worry yet, its only been 3 months for you. Just don't stress over it too much and see your GYN. Sending good vibes to you.

Ever since me and my husband got married we've never really use any contraceptives. After 1 year and 2 months we started to worry and wonder if there's something wrong to either one of us until last November 29, 2008 of early morning (after a week that I was delayed), my hubby went to pharmacy as early as 8 am just to buy a pregnancy test and woke me up just to pee (first pee in the morning has the higher pregnancy hormone).....within 3 minutes I was just staring the kit and can't believe of what I had read....plus sign (POSITIVE) :wow:. By the ways, I'm 30 and hubby's 40.

this website help me a lot in counting my ovulation date.....

Only 3 months? Be patient - that's probably what your OB/Gyn will say. I'd give it at least a year before considering consulting a fertility doc. In the meantime, you both can read up on all that you two can do on your own to increase your chances.

We are almost in the same boat. We, with my husband, wanted that I'll get pregnant soon after we got married but to no avail yet. It's almost 5 months now. We are planning to visit a GYNE perhaps after 6 months of waiting. While I don't know the reason yet why I am not yet pregnant, I don't want to worry or be pressured on it. Thinking too much or worrying too much of something that you don't know may cause stress and anxiety on you.

Worrying will adversely affect your chances. If it will happen, it will happen. Just keep trying but just for the heck of it, you know? Pressuring yourselves to produce a child definitely won't help. And you still have plenty of time. But go ahead and check with your OB-GYN. :star:

I'm looking for an honest opinion and experiences if you have nothing to say I guess it's better to keep quiet.

Our plan was to use contraceptives during the first year of our marriage because my husband and I want to be by "ourselves" within that time period. We have the boys ( 6 and 7 ) every other weekend but a newborn is a much bigger responsibility. So far, our plans ( not to get pregnant within a year and me not working within the same period after our wedding) have worked for us as a couple. Our bond is stronger as husband and wife, most of all we now know each other inside and out.

I am beyond the conraceptive stage for 3 months now but I am not worried about not getting pregnant. If it is meant to be then we will have a child. I will be 40 this year and my husband 48. If we will have a child then it is meant for us, if not I know we will still be very happy together. Everything happens for a reason and as for myself, I am passed that stage of worrying if I will get pregnant or not. I have been so blessed all my life and I am so thankful of what I have.

Let nature take its course . You are still very young and I am positive you and your husband will have a baby very soon. Stressing about it is mentally and emotionally exhausting so hang in there. As they say, just keep trying :)

Goodluck!
