Happy wifey and Mom-to-Be

So, our friends invited us for dinner yesterday. All of our friends here in town do reserve an evening with us these days seeing that we're moving away. But yesterday was different: When we showed up for "dinner" yesterday at this fine couple's house, there were some 25 other guests there, too. Some friends, Nani's cousin that lives here in Cinti and some of Nani's former co-workers had all gathered at our friend's house last night. Nani stepped through the door and "SURPRISE" - they had a Baby Shower for her.

This was entirely the idea of this friend of ours who felt so bad that Nani may not have a Baby Shower since we will be in a new city where we don't really know many (if any) people. I was part of the planning but Nani had absolutely no idea beforehand that yesterday night was not just a dinner invitation. It was beautiful and it made Nani the happiest mom-to-be last night. Wow, there are just genuinely nice people out there.

Reinhard that was really wonderful of them, it is without a doubt that you are both going to be missed when you move to sunny Florida, I'll bet Nani was in tears :yes:

That's so wonderful, Reinhard! I am sure Nani was very surprised and thrilled about the baby shower! It is nice to have friends who are so wonderful and thoughtful! My friends are also planning to have a baby shower for me and I am soo thankful.. it just means a lot, especially when you are pregnant!

I totally missed the post about your move.. did you get a new job in FL? Congratulations! When are you moving?

Yep, I accepted a position in Tampa. We're moving the end of this week.

Sad to leave our friends behind but we're excited about going to Florida. :yes:

I am sure you will find new friends in Tampa very soon!

I would move to FL in a heartbeat, but we are stuck in Manhattan due to my husbands job here! I totally hate Manhattan so we are moving outside mid of July.. can't wait! :dance: My husband's commute will take ca. 35 min but it is totally worth it!

That is so nice and sweet!!! What a wonderful thing to do for Nani before she goes off to the "unknown" in Tampa! I know she'll carry the "warm feelings" with her.
