Hi OBX...

We received a RFE in our AOS package...my husband sent 2008 tax returns, but i guess they are not complete...anyway, he called and spoke with a live operator who told my husband must send his 2008 tax returns, nothing else, not new form neither 2005 tax returns as the checklist letter says....so, we are still waiting to get Case complete....

still waiting....

Just a little bump in the road. Hopefully they will process your file quickly once they get the 2008 return.

Good luck!

You know the damn system is so variable. For me I did not include any 2008 tax info and my AOS was already reviewed and approved.

Guys and gals, please help. Called NVC today and they said they got something from us yesterday. Am assuming it's the RFE'd photos. But we noticed from the emails they sent us, my maiden name was used. Yet we've consistently given my married name, including when calling NVC. It's also in the USCIS NOAs and hardcopy NVC letters. Why is it they are beingatc inconsistent? The operator started to tell me, "Well what you can do is..." and the line got cut off. Long distance. Operators were gone less than 10min. later after reloading. (Other times I called it was busy.)

Can someone advise us on what to do? Can we just ask the supervisor to make the correction tonight? I think it's important since they may declare Case Complete any day now they have all the stuff. Would it cause a problem if they used maiden name in the petition when my passport has been amended to reflect married name? Is this a big deal? Any advice please? Husband is mad as hell and I'm losing my goddamned mind. We're already way behind everyone else in our batch. :(

We have the same case. But I had it corrected when I sent my DS3032 via email. I attached a scanned copy of my passport for their reference. They corrected my name after a week.

Please see attached letter I sent them.

That's GREAT! Good luck, OBX!:star: I have no doubt at all you will succeed! We're all going to be cheering for you and all those getting interview dates!

d_arkangel, I talked with an NVC operator last night. She said they use my maiden name because it's what's in the biographical page of my passport. We'd attached a copy of the amendment page showing it's been modified to reflect my married name. But she said it doesn't matter, that they just go by what's on the bio page. Her suggestion was to tell the USEM about it during the interview since they're the ones who will be issuing the visa. My husband says just go with the flow for now since the case will be completed soon (from what we were told).

What can you advise, guys? I mean, it seems logical to me to mention bring this up at the USEM since that's where the visa will be coming from. We have proof that we did everything right and yet the NVC chose to use my maiden name. My husband thinks it will be okay and the Embassy will just decide what name to use. What do you think?

We got an appointment too - May 20th. Yeay! The funny thing is that I spoke to an operator just yesterday afternoon and told her I knew "a friend" who had recieved an appointment outside the first 2 weeks of the month... She said this is very abnormal and to call back the 3rd week because that is when they would know something. I guess they are told to say that. I am so happy we're actually getting some dates now! Congrats everyone!

Isn't it great to finally be this near! It's feeling like more of a reality now! Like we might actually move there one day!! I have left a message this morning with Dr Snieden's office but still have not heard anything! I think they may be very busy scheduling after MTL let out all those appointments in one go!!
