NVC was closed yesterday, but listened to AVR and guess what.. Lady from AVR told that Case was completed on feb 26th. It was so great to hear it. Its exactle a year now since we sent the petition. Is NVC working today? Would like to confirm this news with operator, as our case was complicated..

Is this going to be more paperwork for us once the interview date is set? Why another DS-230 Part I? By the way, we made sure I didnt' sign Part II of my DS-230.

I'm not sure about packet 3. I thought that if your consulate was an "Appointment Post" NVC collects all of the documents and schedules the interview so a packet 3 is not required. Could that posting on the website be outdated? Perhaps you could post on a regional forum and see if someone has experience with this. It would be good to know.

For most countries for the CR-1 you do parts 1 and 2 of the DS-230 but ONLY sign part 1 as mentioned.

If you are also following the K-3 process at the same time, you will be asked to send Part 1 of the DS-230 with your checklist and other requested forms. This is considered a Packet 3 for K-3.

Hi all,

What does it mean if AVR says: WE RECEIVED UR BIOGRAPHIC FORMS ON FEb.27..does it mean they got our package? And I asked the operator why the AVR said they wait the petitioner to send the AOS bill since we already paid it, and she said that they only wait for confirmation payment of $70...WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? do we get possible RFE?

ANybody here encountered some problem like this?

I have not gone through this but I think it is not an RFE yet...they recieved ur Biographic forms and it is now in the system, but they r waiting for the AOS to be get in to the system. However, if this is the matter concerning the bills shows paid but actually doesn't reflect to the NVC system, then u gotta give some time to NVC to fix it.

If u know that u have paid all bills duly and sent all the papers, just calm down, give call to NVC and try to talk to an operator about the status...

If the petitioner has paid the bills, and paid online, you can check the online payment system to check the status. If you paid by money order or check it will take a little longer for the payment status to update.

I agree with Sonia, call NVC and find out exactly what they are waiting for. Is it the payment? or have they received the payment and are waiting for the funds? or are they waiting for your AOS package?

The below are pinned at the top of the NVC forum (updated in Nov):

NVC Assigns a Case#:

"...This case was entered in the NVC computer system on _______. The case number assignned by the NVC is (Case #). Please allow 6-8 week from this date for the beneficiary to receive the documents"

DS3032/ AOS Fee Bill Generated:

"...NVC will mail...the beneficiary..." OR "DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill has been generated on________"

DS3032 Entered in the System:

"...NVC has received the DS3032, Choice of Agent and Address form on______.

Please allow 4-6 weeks before you will be notified by NVC..."

AOS Fee Processed:

"...NVC has received the DS3032, Choice of Agent and Address form on______.

and will send further instructions within the next few weeks..."

Affidavit of Support RFE:

"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... "

IV Fee Bill Generation:

"...The Immigration Visa Fee Bill letter has been generated on ____and will be sent within the next few weeks..."

IV Fee Bill Processed:

"NVC has received IV fee bill on ______ and will send further instructions within next few weeks. "

DS-230 Generation:

"NVC is expecting return of the biographic forms by the petitioner... " OR

"A packet of information and documents was generated on (Date) and wil be mailed within next few weeks"

DS-230 Receipt:

"The NVC has received the checklist letter response on ..." OR

"The NVC (has) received your documents on ____________. Please allow ... " (as of 11/01)

Case Complete:

"... your Case was completed on ...Please allow 8 weeks for further instructions..."

Case Forwarded to Embassy:

"...The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

The DS-230 only refers to the beneficiary. So if that is you, you only need to send yours. I am in the exact same position (both of us were previously married) and I only had to send mine. There were no problems. Good luck!
