Okay here is the deal. My fiance doesn't have internet access and I am spending a fortune on phone cards calling EVERYDAY! Is there a free way to call South Africa from pc to cell for free?? I really need to call for free and no one is offering any deals to South Africa. Anything is better than 12cents a min. Thanks

Nothing is free nowadays.Calling cards are your best bet because they are much cheaper than dialing directly.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

12 cents a minute? That's actually really good. I call my fiance in Morocco using an online service that I access through my home phone, and I pay 27-31 cents a minute to call his mobile, which is a good/average rate for calling from a landline here to mobile there. I don't think you'll find anything for free. Does your fiance live someplace where there just aren't any internet cafes at all? My fiance lives in a very small town in the south of Morocco, and he still manages to get himself to a cybercafe at least once a week so we can talk.

Does your fiance seriously live out in the middle of nowhere with no technology? If he does, I can understand no internet access, but if he lives in a somewhat populated area, there has to be a cyber cafe someplace nearby.

Let me know if you find a better deal. We spent years looking for cheaper ways. However, calling card seems to be the only choice for lower cost. Obviously, the more you call the expensive it gets. Remember, it adds up.

I'm guesing you want to talk to your SO for a long time. We all feel your pain.

I'll have to check my records but there are some pretty good phone cards available in South Africa, I was calling the US all the time to talk to John, when I was staying with my parents in Cape Town.

Okay I just checked I used sundial. I got the link but didn't check current rates, I last used it 11 months ago.

Oh and you can recharge it online. Though if it is a non-business day there can sometimes be a delay.
