When are you leaving, it is sort of bad timing if you wanted to go fast through NVC you might need to take some things with you and you could mail your packages from PI then.

The DS 3032 will be generated and sent to your spouse, but at the same time they will generate the AOS fee bill and send it to you, that's how you'll get your INN so you can pay online (I believe). Then after they approve your payment you send in your completed I 864 package. I believe after the AOS is paid they will generate the IV bill too and after you pay that, you can send in the DS 230 package. If you don't know what belongs in these packages I recommend you go to the very helpful short cut page http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/..._Package_to_NVC

When are you leaving? I'm stressed too since I'm leaving in one month I have to finish at NVC before then and I'll have to wait maybe a week for my husband to get his police clearance certificate and I don't know how long it will take for the original to come in the mail. You might want to have your wife go about getting her police certificate now if you haven't done that already. I know my process is going to be delayed for this time until I get his original documents... wahhh.

Peace,

Mariah

I kept calling NVC and speaking with an operator about my DS-3032 as well. Some people were nice...some weren't so nice...I called Saturday morning to listen to the AVR and see if anything has changed and DS-3032 was generated! About a week later. Some get it within a few days, others it takes longer. Not sure why....emailed out the DS-3032 today and will mail it out as well tomorrow!

The journey of paperwork & forms & payments has begun.....

Let's do this journey together!

P.S. MariaSH you DEFINITELY beat the record! CJVasani did it within 13 days. CONGRATS!!! Very exciting! I hope I'm within that timeline too :)

I have a question about the i-864.

I will be needing a joint-sponsor for this form but she does not live with me. So does she just fill out the i-864? I already have mine filled out although my income does not reach the 125% poverty line.

and also, for household size, it says for persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit, letter c says "if you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse" but then it says don't count the same person twice.

sorry if this question doesn't make sense!

and thank you ahead of time for those who reply! (:

Hi lovehappenss, if the co-sponsor does not live with you then she needs I-864 form.

For my case, we didn't enter "1" for your spouse because they said do not count anyone twice, since you already enter "1" for the immigrant you are sponsored. (Just my understanding though)

MariahSH, did you enter "1" where they said If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse?

Hi lovehappenss, if the co-sponsor does not live with you then she needs I-864 form.

For my case, we didn't enter "1" for your spouse because they said do not count anyone twice, since you already enter "1" for the immigrant you are sponsored. (Just my understanding though)

MariahSH, did you enter "1" where they said If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse?

No, I did not enter "1" where they said If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse. I entered "1" for the immigrant you are sponsored line.

MariahSH, Thank you. That was what I understand as well. :)
