Congrats!

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Outstanding! We all know what a long process it is. I hope you and Vika celebrated tonight with a wonderful dinner, champagne and caviar.

Enjoy the remaining time in Ukraine.

Congratulations Brad and Vika!!!!!!!

We'll talk when you get back and settled in. Enjoy your visit in Kiev. If she hasn't already, you can get her vaccination record translated at the medical exam clinic and it will be ready for the AOS filing. They don't charge anything for the service but when I came for the interview I made some gifts of good Vermont maple syrup and chocolate.

Good luck!

Thanks brother - I look forward to comparing notes. Vika got her exam, translated records, and paid for the visa in mid-December to save time. We are having a great time here in Kiev, visited one of the monasteries here today, long walks, etc. We are both eager to head out and get to the states, but for different reasons reluctant to leave.

That is the plan. We have 11 more days here, and she didn't even give FedEx an address.

And a BIG thanks to every one who posted congrats and support!! We appreciate this community very much. Vika and I spent about a half hour looking at the site and composing a few posts, and the embassy review together. She was looking over my shoulder the first time, and sharply asked me to explain those hearts  . Fortunately we ran into one half of RYDA (from this forum) at the embassy, and she was able to verify the purpose of the post count. Phew! B)
