Depends if they need more information.

Minimum 14 days - if you don't hear anything in 60, call them!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.... I AM A LITTLE WORRY SINCE IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS I FILED THE APPLICATION.

You filed a petition, not an application. Generally, they resume the adjudication process within a few days of receiving the RFE response. Nobody can tell you how long that process will take or whether the outcome will be positive or negative. Petition approval means your loved one can soon "apply for a visa".

GREAT :-) I KNOW IT IS HARD TO TELL HOW LONG IS GOING TO BE UNTIL THEY SEND ME THE NO2. ANYWAYS, I APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hey Sinergy

When you say it can take 30-60 days... it seems as though many people on this site get approved within days of the USCIS receiving the RFE info. Any insight as to why that is the case?

It depends on your adjudicator and your case and what you had to send in. Not everyone will get NOA2 days within sending it.

I am a little bit of nervous because the information that I sent with the petition it was the same one. The only thing that I did it was to organize the information and translate this time all the stuff that I sent. It is possible that they send me another RFE????? One more question I took a trip to see my fiance but after I have summited the petition. Does this trip count in meeting as well in person within two years? I am asking this because this trip is the only one I was able to save boarding passes. The other ones I did not save and I only bought them with my visa. But apperently it was not enough proof to meeting in person. I also sent pictures but they did not consider those pictures. I resent those pictures again. Do you think it was a good idea???

I appreciate all these response....

Thanks

what was the RFE for?

If you sent them EXACTLY what they asked for, then you are ok, just sit back and wait til you hear something. If you hear nothing in 30 days call

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows how long does it take to get the NO2 after I send the RFE all the information. I sent all the RFE in 12/23/2008??? What is the next step to do??? suggestions please. Thank you very much for your input....

Hi!!

We also sent our RFE last december 23, 2008 but until now we're still waiting for our NOA2. Do you always check your petition online USCIS site? I do check ours everyday and since they received our RFE reply December 30, 2008, we've got six touches from the time they received our RFE dec 30, 31, Jan 1, Jan 2, Jan 5 and Jan 6.

How about you?

Le'ts keep our faith that they will approve our petition and hopefully soooonnnnnnnn...

That's not enough detail to be helpful. If you didn't meet in person, you won't get an approval. If that's the only issue and you sent enough primary evidence you did meet in person within the past two years, things will probably move pretty quickly. If you didn't, they'll probably move even faster.

Yes, you should send the boarding pass you have because it is a good proof that you guys met in person during the last 2 years. Try to find all the documents that you can, maybe your bank documents showing that you used your visa in the US during your trips. I got a RFE on dec 11, if I have a good advice, send your RFE documents with FEDEX. It took 10 days for my documents to arrive at the Laguna Niguel immigration which is 100 miles away from my house

With Fedex your folder will arrive in 2 days...
