Hi. i just got my notice for my interview in Feb. I filed on nov 14. what happens at the end of the interview? i was looking thru the site and i see that many others have had their 485s touched but mine has not shown any touches. yet i got the interview in feb. i haven't received word on the ead yet. is that normal? i am not complaining but i just wanna have an idea as to exactly how far along my process is.

touches do not indicate anything

If the file is approved, they will submit the information to order card production. Can be same day or a few days later or if additional background checks need be completed then it could be longer.

If the file is not approved, they will typically ask you to provide more information

EAD application will continue to process unless GC is approved first or you have an RFE.

Good luck for your interview. Yes some people in here dont have their ead before their interview. And i dont have an update online with my I-485 i just received my interview letter too. For now its best to prepare documentation for your interview again Good luck :thumbs:

Dec 17, 2008---WELCOME NOTICE RECEIVED

1.- It says on the letter... state id.. if i dont have ead before interview what can be considered as id?

i received my notice of interveiw last DEC 9 but my interveiw will be on FEB too And my EAD card delivered in mail last DEC 24 so im sure will be on the way :dance:

Well... I could not believe it myself... its been 2 months since i sent my packet.. and whoa!! i got the interview already..

I didnt have any touches since 12/10/08... no word on EAD also..

I know it can be frustrating... but hold on.. you already have your ead and ssn..so.. can work already..

carnie, exactly the same thing for mine...no touches since 12/12 then out of the blue came the interview.

I-485 got touched after my biometric done........thats all and then i received a notice in mail for my interveiw

but my EAD was touched maybe 3 or 4x after i got my Card in mail Good luck to both of us in our coming interveiw .......

This is really surprising! My husband and I filed on November 06, 2008 for I-130, I-485, EAD and AP, we Fedexed to Chicago Lockbox.

I did Biometrics on December 09, 2008, in Salinas, California.

I got Notice for Initial Interview for: February 05, 2009

Interview will be in San Jose, California office.

:dance: I am so HAPPY!!!

Well, whatever reason the USCIS has for interviewing us November 2008 Filers in February 2009, God Bless Them! :star:

I am very excited!

I confess, that, like many on these boards, I was very confused when I received the Interview appointment letter. When I saw the envelope in the mail, I thought it would be correspondence regarding my EAD. I have thoroughly read and re-read many many posts on these boards, and many person's timelines show EADs before interviews.

:unsure: there are many people who have filed before us and are still waiting for an interview! :unsure:

So is this happening for ALL November Filers??
