we will probably wait till the kids are out of school before we get the medical that way we could save up a little for it and the kids won't need to be absent from school again.

i am just wondering about all the delays in GCs, a lot have received the welcome letters a few weeks back yet it seems nobody has received the physical card lately. i sure hope it wont take several months for them to sent out the cards as what marikiya_dhr's friends said.

Hello,

I haven't been on here much- but just wanted to post and say that I called USCIS today and my husband's EAD card production is ordered and they also mailed us a notice that is AP is approved!! So... while she couldn't help me at all with the I-485 situation, we now at least know that he will be able to work fairly soon, which is absolutely wonderful!! She said that they are now beginning to process I-485s from August 2008 which I know is a bunch of #######. Why can't the gov't just tell us the truth??? Blah. Anyway, his EAD and AP have been approved and that's the good news for now!!

Well, I had my interview this morning and am approved.
Received an email that card production has been ordered today for Maricar and her daughter! :):):dancing::dancing:

Rachel and Andy-n-Maricar : congratulationss.gifdancing.gif

dbears all the best at your interview next week. Take everything that is required and more. Remember that "the heart of the kings is in the hands of the Lord."

Thank you very much karen... we had the interview this morning and it went painlessly smooth except for the medical RFE. The I.O. didn't asked only one question: "Where/How did you meet?"... asked to see our passports, birth certificates, Marriage certificate, SSN card, 2008 ITR. He went out of the room photocopied the BCs and then when he came back he said: "The good news is yours is an approvable case, the bad news is you would need to have a complete medical done because your medical file is missing.".. yes it is not just the vaccination supplement but a full medical because somebody lost my medical file. Our IO keep on saying it should be there in the file and that he could not understand why they would send our file to for interview without the medical.

So in essence we were approved but technically we are not yet officially approved. The IO said we need to have the full medical mailed in by June 25th and once they have it we will receive our green card after 2 weeks. Well, we were actually half expecting to be asked to submit vaccination supplement since i did not submit it but the full medical is news to us but still, we are very grateful that interview was done and over with... and hopefully we would still get our green card before the month ends.

Thank you to all who wished us luck and to all that are still waiting, I hope and pray you will hear some good news soonest. (F)

Congrats Miki. I am so happy for you. Get the medical done as soon as possible. Did they give you a RFE document that showed that you need to send in the medical? If they did, make a copy of it just in case. They lost your file they can lose anything but I know that soon you will be receiving your GC. Just remember to remove the restrictions.

How are you ? That is really strange that you haven't received your GC yet. I am really surprised.

No Interview letter yet, still waiting. Have a nice trip. Yes you can go with the I-551 stamp on your passport, it is exactly like a GC anyway.

Could you please empty your mail box? I can not send any messages to your mailbox.

Thank you for sharing this Cino... now I would surely and definitely just hand carry our medical and ask for this I-551 stamp after we get our medical done. We have not done it yet because of budget and also because we want to wait out till the kids are out of school which would be after June 10th. We have until June 25th to submit it.. i just don't know if this is a wise idea to wait till after June 10th.

I wish every one a blessed Sunday and sending the angel of wishes to all those who are still waiting for news on their applications: angel2.gif

I don't feel safe there and secure with him for even here, he does things bad on me! huh! I don't really know if am gonna make this life going?! no hope, for i don't have any news still since we sent of RFE! i am losing hope!

I am thinking if he did cancelled it and I am waiting for nothing! guys what should I do if he did dad?! all he wants is to used me and be his slave, sex slave the most! he thinks that I am using him but ######! how can i use him that I don't even have any access to any of his accounts?! am flat broke, hopeless and drepress! GOD HELP ME WITH THIS?! :help: HUH! :crying:

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL HAVE SUCCEED THIER AOS JOURNEY HERE!! GOD BLESS US ALL!!

rajemr

i feel sad for you and i hope you can get away from the situation. you can contact the uscis for help. this seem to prove the reason why u.s. gov't are stricter to the immigrants especially under the petition of a fiance visa. its for the beneficiary's safety. i heard alot of stories of an immigrant being petitioned by their american lovers and once they arrive in the states, they become slaves rather than a spouse.

a person got to think of their safety all the time, considering why a foreign man or a man way older than us or even younger would file a petition for you

yeah, i read this. no worries, as long as we have the I-511 stamp and seal on our passport. (was it 511 or 115?) this is just sad since, im also in wait for that so i can come back to the ssa for some changes and to dmv to get a license to drive.. i think God is testing my patience..

i also find it hard to get a job, i dont know if its whether the recession or for some other reason. i mean, im an RN and i cant land a job..probably competition since there are alot of nursing grads too..

patience is forever a virtue! anybody here in the same situation?

Well just thought I would post this to start us all off in the new year for those that will be filing for AOS in January! We are working on our package right now and hope to have it mailed out next week! Good luck to all!

Steph n' Gareth

hello sunnybear, so we are both january filers again, just this time we will be filing in the same center

we are doing our finishing touches on our AOS for K1 and K2... just finished the additional immunization for the kids today and will be scouting for civil surgeon here to transcribe our vaccination record on I-693 tomorrow... if we can't find anybody cheap, we will just go ahead and use dr. arnold... hoping we would be able to submit AOS application next week :)

Good luck to every one of us.

wow sis, u're filing AOS now, good luck! we're still far from that but I can't stop thinking about it. Sis, let me tke the chance to ask here, how were u able to get SSN for the kids? we were told to get tax ID first? or as what I've read here get EAD then SSN? am getting confused, I think I need to be in VJ often again LOL.

Again, good luck to all AOS filers.

Thank you sis. I know u'll be able to give me ideas.

Hello Everyone,

Another January Submitter Story. A bit long.

My interview was today for 9:35 in NY.

My husband and i got there at 8:00 very early but the officer said we were too early and to come back at 9:00 lol.

We didn't walk around, i didn't want too so we sat at on a bench facing the building until 8:45 lol then we went in.

We were sent to the eight floor to sign in. I handed in my interview letter, the lady checked my A# and told me i'm early because they had me down for a 10:30 appointment. She looked at my interview time and realised that THEY were wrong said its ok gave me back the letter and sent us down to the fourth floor. I gave the the interview letter at the window and the guy took it and stamped it or something.

The room was crowded we managed to get the last two seats in the back. I noticed some people had lawyers and some didn't. My husband and I didn't. I wasn't as nervous as i thought i would be. We didn't sit there to long, we were called in pretty quickly even before some people we noticed were sitting there before us.

Our interview officer was a lady. She swore us in and then the questions started.

Our full names, date of birth. She then turned to my husband and ask him how we met, what did we do on our first date, where did we get married, on what date.

She turned to me and ask me, what is my husbands parents names, where do they live? City and State, what are there jobs, what's his brothers and sisters name and where do they live. She ask me where was my husband born, which was Hong Kong, how long did he live there? She was surprised i even knew what city.

It got tense when she turned to my husband and said.

You guys have been married a year Mr Zavelle, why didn't you open a bank account with your wife sooner? How was she getting money? Why wasn't i on his work benefits? I tried to answer that and she put her hand up to silence me.

My poor husband got nervous right there and he stuttered an answer. I don't think she was satisfied with the answer so i asked her if i can answer it. She let me, so i explained to her that we did try to get me on his account but his bank didn't accept me because i didn't have a SSN. I told her on get on his insurance i need a SSN. She was satisfied, turning back to him she asked him how long we've been living together. My husband blurted 2yrs, which was wrong, i turned to tell him this but she put her hands up to silence me again.

She sat back and ask him if he was sure, he nervously replied a year and a half. She turned to me again, the answer was at the tip of my tongue, she smiled and turned and ask my husband why didn't he know how long we've been living together.

He told her he was feeling very nervous and then he answered correctly. She asked me if i know how much tax return we got back or something like that and i told her i couldn't remember.

She ask my husband about our wedding. Why wasn't our parents there? She asked him if his parents didn't attend because we were an interracial couple *wow* he explained we just wanted something simple. I was going to say something but she turned to me and said if i interrupted again she would end the interview. *wow* i apologized and looked off into space lol. I listened to her grill him some more about unnecessary stuff. She had to call me by name for me to answer another question lol. I knew she could tell i was annoyed with her questions. She then ask to see our proof of marriage. I gave her a big smile and pulled out everything putting our large album on top.

She looked through everything, lease, bank statement, marriage certificate, letters from family, she even opened up a card and read it twice lol. I was anxious to know why she read it twice. It was a card from my father-in-law, hoping that i was able to travel and visit them in New Mexico this year, that he had so much to show me in the marvelous South West lol. 100 points for that card. She took 3 of our pictures, with us together. One from our Wedding, our Honeymoon and Christmas 2008..

She gave us everything back then started to ask me question that i kept saying NO to. Stuff about crime and Terrorist and all that.

She then wrote something in my passport PENDING I-485, Section 245 Interview, the date, A#, (ISO) and her name and state. She told us they would contact us in 60 days when they come to a decision *WHAT?* I was hearth broken, i smiled and thanked her and she asked for my work permit because she needed a copy. We waited in the room with the other interviewers for about a minute, she came back, handed me my card and i gave her a big smile and told her thank you, while i shook her hand. She smiled back and gave me a firm hand shake.

My husband and i didn't speak till we were out of the building, then he told me he was so sorry for getting a question wrong. I held his hand and told him it was ok because it was, i didn't get a bad feeling about our interview at all. She was just doing her job and she was very good at it lol. I got home called my mom, who wanted to know details down to what the lady was wearing. My mom thinks she's a clairvoyant << don't ask lol she told me they would contact me before 60 days. I smile told her i hope so and told her i'm going to take a nap.
