What do people have to do these days in order for the liberals to not get angry that we're at war?
For starters? Play by the rules and don't break the law in order to get into one.

You know, somehow I doubt that's the key to liberals ending their bitterness towards war. Even wars that are needed.

welcome to liberalville. if hitler was around, the apologists would be defending him too.

Yep. I don't doubt that one bit.

I cannot beLIEVE there are people on this thread that are angry at the U.S. for taking out known terrorists. It boggles my frickin mind!

What I'm wondering is - when IS war acceptable then? What do people have to do these days in order for the liberals to not get angry that we're at war? Obviously brutal dictators are fine, we should leave them alone. Planes flying into buildings killing thousands, oh well. Not a reason to stop holding hands and singing Kumbaya.

War has been around since the beginning of time. 6,000 years later you liberals still can't accept that???

I know these folks believe we should've sit back let Zarqwi run wild, free, continue to saw people's heads right off their living breathing body, perpetrated a organization that rammed planes with people onboard into buildings with innocent people inside unaware of what was happening. His people run around with guns the size of cars on their shoulders and detonating roadside bombs as innocent pepople go about their daily routines killing them and making everyone the target without personally knowing any of them. You know why cuz the son-of-a-gun didn't care about anyone but himself and was the devil walking up right here on earth. But as majority of you here on this thread are against targeting the devil and letting him roam free to continue to be a savage with zero remorse for what he has done to all the thousands and thousands he has killed in the most unbelievable ways one could imagine. He would have continued to this very day and every day left remaining in his life to kill people who had no association with him at all and did absolutely nothing to him. But yet he didnt care who he killed and really made it his every opportunity to target Americans.

I don't see how one can advocate letting a murderer run free and look the other way. The military on that night carefully planned their attack and waited til he was as isolated as possible. Taking control of this man dead or alive where he was alone was NEVER gonna happen. For our troops safety do you think it would've been a wise decision to be on the ground targeting him knowing how deadly he is and what could be up his sleeve? Being above him pinpointing him with accuracy and making no sound was the best way in getting him. Everyone that died in that house with Zarqwi knew him and his background and all congregated to discuss just how much more hell they could bring to the world.

Congratulations to the US military for getting this sadisitic man.

Well, the wars that were done by the rules (Iraq I over a decade ago and Afghanistan, for example) I haven't hear many complain about getting into. There were due complaints about the pisspoor planning and execution of the one in Afghanistan but not about going into it itself. A proper case was made for it, the proper channels were pursued and international support was built. That's how it's done. None of that occured in regards to the illegal act of aggression this administration engaged this country in over there in Iraq... ;)

I cannot beLIEVE ... accept that???
I know these folks ... this sadisitic man.

This is really cute, incanada. Talking to yourself now?

I find it so contradicting that incanada was over on the religious thread talking about Christianity and God and following the word of God, then comes over here and talks about killing terrorists!!! So much for all those bible school lessons and sermons in church!!!

And why is it the US is the one that has to carry out the "war on terror"? Why do our tax dollars have to be spent and our soldiers have to die while the majority of the world does nothing? Why does the US always have to be "big brother"?

What if Zarqwi was alive came here and invaded us tonight and held captive your dear Elena and sawed off her head what would you do?

He would probably come up wıth a several paragraph essay that defended the right of Zarqawi to do so on the grounds that he was a freedom fighter and explain that it was no different than if George Washington had cut her head off himself...........

Anybody that is anti-American and doesn't reside here can stay where you are and don't come here. Nobody is forcing you to come here and live.

I don't agree with everything my government does but I am not going to sit here and bash it. I love America and proud to be an American.

This thread just infuriates me with all the anti-American being thrown around.

Again I say, since when is criticism and/or questioning of your government "bashing" or automatically "anti-American"? I would think that holding your ELECTED officials accountable for their decisions a very American and democratic thing to do! And since when do elected officials have carte blanche to do anything and everything they want, without fear of repercussions? Give me a break.

To be very frank, it is this very "if you don't like it, leave" attitude from certain American citizens that made me pause for a second or two when we made the decision for me to immigrate here. In Canada, criticizing elected officials is like a national sport. Here, I knew I would have to keep my mouth shut. Freedom of speech, indeed.

I hear anti-American all the time from my future father-in-law and frankly sick of it. I agree with another person that posted that why is the US always having to step to the plate?

There is no point arguing over this because people are never happy. Even if the sky was black somebody would say it was white. This is why I don't usually get into political arguments.
