It arrived from the NVC today! I'm currently visiting my husband so I don't know if a second copy arrived in Canada or not -- will find out later when I phone my parents, I guess.

Even though I knew beforehand all of the info in the packet, it's exciting to see in writing that I have an interview date.

One confusing thing, though -- the letter from the NVC is dated Feb.3rd, but when we called on that day (that night) they said no interview had been scheduled. Weird.

congrats...

what's in the packet? Other than a letter stating your interview date?

How long did it take for you to receive it?

Well, we called the NVC on Friday, Feb.3 and they said "nothing yet". Then we called on Monday, and they said "Yes, you have an interview". So the packet arrived today...so...if it was sent Monday, then it was about 4 days...but I'm currently visiting my husband (who is the agent) and he lives in Boston, which is VERY close to New Hampshire, where the NVC is (I thought the packet would come from Montreal, but it came from the NVC). If it was sent on Friday, since the appointment letter is dated Friday, Feb.3, then it took five or six days (there is mail on Saturdays in the US).

So...under a week after learning the interview was scheduled.

In the packet is the letter, plus instructions on what to bring, and on the medical. :)

If it's coming from the NVC, it's gonna take ages to reach me over here on the west coast of Canada! :clock: hehehehe

Hey Chicken Little,

My packet came in the mail today and I noticed it was addressed to me in my maiden name. All previous documents and mail from NVC have been addressed to me in my married name. I thought this was odd. Did the same thing happen to you?
