Now what's confusing to me is that she's really good friends with Brad Pitt, why wouldn't she go that route first? Back then he was still single and dying for a kid, so I doubt he would've said no.

It's Yarmulke, Tammy Lynn! Silly girl!

I think the word 'marriage' is not owned by religion....different words can have different meanings in different places....a 'run' in your stocking is not the same as a 'run' on wall street. I 'marry' polish bottles all the time. I think it's nice of her to be so understanding, but a baseball cap is not the same as a yarmulke, yet imo, a marriage in the courthouse between a hetero couple imo, should be the same as a 'civil union' between a gay couple.

Let em marry and let's all just be fkin happy.

Actually in both of those examples you cited, the verb's meaning is indeed the same. For the word given as an example, "run" it's definition being, "to move without hindrance or restraint".

Same thing with "marry" when used in the context of a union of two people and the mixing of two bottles of nail polish. It's definition being, v.intr. "to take a husband or wife; wed" or "to combine or blend agreeably".

"diaddie mermaid"

You can 'catch' me on here and on FBI.

If you read the blog, she was defining the word 'marriage' as a religious based word....I used my example to show it used in a non-religious context.

As to the 'run' thing...that stuck out from Econ 4 in Uni....go take it up with the UM prof ;)
