I-129f problems

This is driving me crazy, I received my NOA1 Jan 23, 2006 and now it is sitting

in El Paso Texas, has not been touch since April 4. My fiancée should be here or on

her way... Its impossible to get any questions answered when you call the national

service center 1-800 number. The only thing I hear from them is you'll just have to WAIT!!!!

I can't imagine why my I-129f went to El Paso, (even the customer service people don't understand),

but I'm afraid that when they figureout it’s in the wrong place it will go back to Neb or Cal

and I will be at the end of the line AGAIN!!! I know I’m ranting, but it really frustrating checking

my e-mail every day and not getting anywhere, then seeing many many many people

getting their NOA2 and interviews when they sent there application in after me.

Is there any way I can get a direct phone # or e-mail address to the

Nebraska or El Paso service centers?

Do you think getting a congressman involved would help?

Do you call or e-mail?

Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering if your I-129F didn't already get approved, go through NVC, and get sent to the Consulate in Mexico and you just didn't get the NOA2. The mailing address for the US consulate in Mexico is in El Paso, TX. I would definitely recommend getting your congressman to look into this for you - they have people in their offices that do this daily, and may be able to get an answer for you. We had to get a senator involved at one point since we never got NOA1 (and therefore no receipt number to track with), and they were able to get a copy of the NOA1 and receipt number for us.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart"

I can feel for you.

If you like, you could make an info pass appointment and at least get to see and talk to a live person.

You really have to have the long wait.

It's all about the wait game to see how long you can last.

1.) Due the current volume of applications, your wait will be prolonged in accordance to the USCIS website.

2.) Sign up with http://www.lingo.com or http://www.packet8.com for very affordable unlimited phone calls everday to your love one.

I do this before, I only pay $34.95 for unlimited calls to ASIA by Lingo.com

3.) Due to the new law in limbo, it's causing so much problems with Immigration all around the world.

Sorry dude, you just have to pray.

You are way past the normal wait time even with backlogs and IMBRA.

I think you should contact your congressman or senator NOW. If your packet was already in Mexico, you would have (should have) received packet 3 from Ciudad Juarez and your fiance would have also. It sure looks like someone made a mistake on this and since there is no way for you to contact a live person in El Paso, your best bet is to get your senator to make an inquiry. Search for your senator's office online, download and fill out the form giving them all the information and the right to check on your behalf and fax it ASAP. Then call them to make sure they got it. This is really the best way.

In the meantime, for phone calls, my #1 recommendation is Skype. Totally free computer to computer or .02 per minute from your computer to Mexico. Can't beat it!

Just on the off shot that you didn't receive your NOA2, call the NVC just in case 603-334-0700, you will have to speak to an operator (do not use the automated system) and answer a few questions.

Also, please only create 1 thread about this particular issue, I had to search for your other 2 threads to get the full story about this. It's less confusing for all of us. :)

  • 3 weeks later...

I also live here in Colorado (Denver) Make an appoitment with infopass, it doesn't matter where your application is its possible they can give you a better answer at the local office. Though I wouldn't count on it. I've been there a number of times and usually they have a one sentance response for me. You best bet is to go through your congressman. Mark Udall helped me. Twice I went to him with problems and each time shortly after my case moved forward. He gets my vote from now on...

NOTE: you may have to wait anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours to see someone at the local office. Arrive there 15 minutes early and be preparred to wait... You need ID to get in and you'll be going through a metal detector. Parking is on the street.

You filed long before IMBRA came into effect, and before they began sending our NSC petitions to CSC.

If it were me, I would be calling anyone and everyone I could to find out just what is going on. Good luck!
