Yeah so I go this for the so called criminal activity I engaged in by using drugs - have ben off it more than 25 years... but that of course does not count... I feel shattered... I can't stop crying. I have to provide them with detailed info about my drug use amongst other things.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

Can't stop crying.

I am truley sorry to hear this melo. However, a 221g is really not the end of all things, correct? You have to come back to them with some forms and perhaps undergo another security check?

Anyway, good luck with everything.

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

I am not sure what you can do. pull it togeather and find out about waivers.

Wait is she from England or is he? Would IMBRA affect him or her?

IMBRA should affect more the USC/petitioner........at least that's what I thought. I could be wrong though.

the reason why I said IMBRA because it goes both ways. Melos problem happend 25 years ago.

seems to me this IMBRA ####### only brought to light more. I really dont think pre- imbra days

melo would have to justify this. Then again I dont know. I hope she looks at waivers.

ONLY IMO, IMBRA probably doesn't have anything to do with this. If you provide them with what they want, since you've been off of anything for 25 years, you'll be able to work it out. They can backround-check Paul, but when they don't come up with anything that will be ok too. I'm sure you MUST be broken-hearted; I would be too...but hang in there girl...it will be ok. I hope and pray you get this resolved VERY soon. Thinking of you, M. (F) (F) (F)

221(g) isn't a NO though - its 'more info required' - just keep telling yourself that it isn't a refusal and get your hands on as much info / affidavits/proofs showing your clean living lifestyle / good conduct/ excellent record since your teenage nightmare years.

I wish you the mostest luck; you can get thru this!!

Sept 2002 - 1st US visit - everything goes perfectly.

Dec 20th - Forms recev'd at CSC

Dec 27th - NOA1 received by snail mail!

Dec 29th - 'Touched'

March 10 2006 - NOA2!

March 23 - recv'd at NVC

March 24 - petition sent to London

April 9th - Pkt 3 rec'd!

May 17th - Pkt 3 signed for at London Embassy

May 24th - Medical

May24th - Pkt 4

June 14th - Interview 10am - APPROVED 1pm!!

June 16th - Visas received in my hot little hands 1pm :)

July 19th - flying to US!

July 27th - Married!! :-)

Aug 7th - Applied for SSN in married name
