Everyone who participated in recruiting got to leave work early today to go to a Houston Astros baseball game. I left the game during the 5th inning & came home. Checked the mail. Nothing from USCIS. Checked email. Nothing from USCIS. Checked the USCIS website. "Case received and pending."

Called customer service & was told that they're processing cases from December 23 today. Then the person asked for my receipt number, and I heard quite for a long time. "Hello?" "I'm still here." Then she goes "Well, I have good news. YOUR APPROVAL WAS SENT OUT TODAY." I started screaming/crying/talking. She kept trying to tell me about NVC & blah blah blah. But I was on my approval high and didn't hear a word she said!  :crying::dance:

Praise be to God. JUST yesterday, Steven told me that he got the passport pictures which was the VERY last thing we needed for the medical/interview. After he said that, I pointed up and said "We're ready! The next step is on You!" Then, today, NOA2!!

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm happy for you, I have been checking daily to see if your were approved. HALLELUIAH!

I mailed on I-129F (packet) on the 4th and they received on the 5th. My check was cashed on the 9th. I spent so much time getting things together that now I feel like I have nothing to do but wait. It will be very interesting keeping up with everyone's progress.

Hi, December filers!

On what step are you in the process? My file arrived at the embassy yesterday (I'm pretty sure it was mine). I plan to call the Dept of State tomorrow to make sure. Then I'll have my guy mail in the DS-230 so that they'll assign an interview date.

How did you find that out? I called the embassy in Kingston this morning, but at 20 cents/minute, I didn't want to sit on hold for long, so I emailed them instead & called the Dept of State.

The Dept of State told me that the USEM in Kingston received the electronic version of my petition on July 13, but hadn't received the hard copy yet. From checking with NVC & DHL, though, I'm 99.9% sure that my package arrived at the embassy Wednesday afternoon. I'm guessing they haven't processed their mail from that afternoon yet.
