Ok...my wife weighs 85 pounds....(thats not a typo...EIGHTY FIVE pounds) We went to the gym today and they said "hey, come check your body fat!" I ask how much and they say "Free!!!" So we did it. They lifted up our shirts and pinched us with those body fat calipers and wrote down some numbers, then checked a charts. For me it said my body fat is 22.5% I was like WOW...im fat! (I am 5'7 and 150 pounds) Then they did my wife. 28.5% body fat!!! WHOA! That means that more than 1/4 of her entire body is just FAT! My wife is calling that woman a liar! I am laughing so much. I think maybe they tell you that you have a high body fat % so that next month when they check you, it goes way down. I thought my body fat was around 15% and my wifes was around the same. Here is a pic of my wife so you can see how fat she is!

jeeezzzzzzzz i hope Radz dont see that, she is a little over 100 pounds she will think she is super fat. I think they are not doing there calculations correct. I went to a health fair once and they checked my blood pressure, said it was so high I need to go to doctor right away. So I left went to the Doctor and all was fine, no high blood pressure. But it did cost me a doctors visit to learn that the people at the health fair cant read blood pressure.

Actually you ARE considered OVERFAT, and your wife is above average, IF such guidelines are important to you.

Typically the male's body fat should run anywhere from 7-10% less than the woman.

Body Type: Female Male

Athlete: <17% <10%

Lean: 17-22% 10-15%

Normal 22-25% 15-18%

Above Average: 25-29% 18-20%

Overfat: 29-35% 20-25%

Obese: 35+% 25+%

Just going to agree with the mermaid... according to your numbers posted for a man you are fatter than she is (for a woman) which seems right from the pics... but it seems pretty likely they mis-read the calipers or did the math wrong.

You can still be skinny and fat at the same time, there are plenty of people around who are thin but have very little muscle mass.

The nintendo wii can't measure body fat... also for those who have seen body fat measuring scales, they also can not measure body fat, not even on a relative basis. The best home tool for measuring body fat at home is a tape measure, or possibly body fat calipers... everything else is just a way to sucker you out of some cash for a trinket (I paid way too much for a scale... it still tells weight fine but I've come to realize it's best to just ignore everything else it has to say).
