Recent I-130 Approvals (Nov. /Dec.) - NVC Process

Desiman - traditionaly they used to approve the I-129F first (the K3 way) and used to hold the approved I-130 until the time the non-immigrant (K3) visa holder would come to the US and adjust status. which was the main purpose of the K3 visa to avoid any delays at the processing at NVC. they have recently started to approve both the I-130 and I-129F together. so there could be a posibility (very unlikely though, given their recent trends) that they are going back to their traditional way of holding the I-130. USCIS would be in a better position to answer this for you. but, when you call USCIS dont mention anything about your application being held....you dont want them to hold it even if they didnt plan to. i would call both agencies and talk to their supervisors and demand to know what the location of your file is and that you are aware of a lot of cases approved after you that have already been assigned a case number at the NVC. they have to stop giving you the runaround at this point.

i would also wait for this week and see if there is any movement or else get your congressman involved.

I hope they didn't implement their traditional way. I really do appreciate everyone's help. If nothing happens by Friday, I'll be in a panic mode.

USCIS said they don't have that information. NVC says they haven't received it. Not sure where it is or whom to believe. They think it's funny.

This is just frustrating. Call everyday to talk to an operator at NVC. According to me, why wait for this week to get over? Draft a letter for congressman and send in middle of this week. They take couple of days to contact anyway. I really hope that your I-130 gets into their system fast.

It's concerning to hear this about the USCIS possibly holding the I-130. I hope it's not true.

The NVC received both my AOS and IV docs on Friday, and are reviewing. Hoping for a favorable review result today or tomorrow.

DS3032 accpeted in the system

There is a good news on my birth certificate, there is a law under registration of Birth and Death in India, in case of dicrepancy in the orignal records, If both parents and two Gazetted ( Read Government) employees give an affidavit stating the correct Date of Birth, corrections can be made in the register....

My dad is already at the Registrar office...

I am just praying that I get my DOB Certificate by wednesday

Aman or anyone else, how do you know when DS-3032 has been generated? I have to see if NVC has received my application.

Call up NVC and talk to an operator...Thats what I did, actually Isent my DS3032, sent and signed to by husband the day I got the case number...Then I called NVC EVERYDAY to check if the AOS bill, and DS3032 was genrated.....I was told it was generated...and mu hubby sent the DS3032 immediately by overnight express.....

So just keep calling:)

so got an RFE - on the I864 - should have it submitted again tommorrow - found out by calling them

I did however find out that they are scheduling interviews NEXT week for Feb

hopefully we can get this in and approved to have an interview by then

I tried calling last night ( India Time) lines were very busy...But did talk to an operator today in the morning, My hubby has paid the AOS fee, and its showing paid in both the NVC records and the online payment module, He will send the AOS today to NVC

They generated my packet 4 fee today five days after receiving the DS 3032, No clue why the delay...But my darling paid the bill online right away....

Hope I get the DOB by thursday.....I am praying so hard.....

ok guys, here is some information that i think may help others in this forum. i just called NVC and asked if they are still accepting 2007 tax returns or if they want us to submit 2008 returns. the guy on the phone said that they will accept 2007 returns before april 15, 2009. after that we will have to provide the 2008 returns. i will call again tomorrow to hear the same answer from some other operator.
