You'll have to wait at least until you receive the actual NOAs...there aren't any trackable numbers on the back of your check like there was with the K1. After that...it's anyone's guess. Mine were available right away...some people have said theirs aren't available until after the biometrics appointment. Congrats on the check clearing!

Congrats on the bio appointment! Weird about the NOAs...I bet they were delayed by USPS somewhere. You should get them soon  If you don't receive them in a couple of weeks I would call USCIS and try to reach someone..make sure you refer to it as an I-797, "NOA" is a VJ term...USCIS won't know what you're talking about.

I'm not sure if the actual paper is very important in this case (the NOA2 from a K1 visa is very important...it's the approval notice and you have to include copies of it with later applications)...but without it you won't have your receipt numbers, so you won't be able to track it online and if there is ever a problem you'll have a harder time reaching USCIS about it.

Congrats to all!

Yes, you can try to track your cases online. Go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp and register.

Then you look for: "To add a case to your portfolio click here" and enter the "Application Receipt Number" in your each of your NOAs (MSC-xx-xxx-xxxxx). You will then have a 'portfolio' of your cases.

Hi Olesea, congrats! I am not familiar with the case transfer situation (I think it means you won't have an interview but I am not sure...) but I have a question as I see you did your Biometrics, or if anyone else knows- do you know if they use the picture they take at Biometrics for any official document you get later (i.e. the green card itself)?

The reason I ask is because I just volunteered to help in a housing non-profit organization (yes, I am getting crazy without working and thought it would be a good idea)... and I will be going to my biometrics super dirty from a construction site for low-income families! Is the picture used only for FBI checks and that kind of thing or does it go to official documents later?

hi mimigrant

Well i think...while we send the AOS papers we send also like 3-4 pictures and those i guess they r used for green card and stuff...at the biometrics they take the fingerprints.. and a picture i think for FBI check...

Ok thats just my opinion but i dont know how this really works... i forgot to ask...
