1 - NOT TALKING ABOUT VISITING!!! my answer is yes for a better job opportunity, and that includes any country in the world, not only the States.

2 - not a smoker, and I don't let others smoke

Umbilical cord blood is up to 180mL of blood from a newborn baby that is returned to the neonatal circulation if the umbilical cord is not prematurely clamped. In some obstetric and midwifery practices, physiological extended-delayed cord clamping protocol, as well as water birth, allows for the cord blood to pulse into the neonate for 5-20 minutes after delivery. If the umbilical cord is not clamped, a physiological clamping occurs upon interaction with cold air, when the internal gelatinous substance, called Wharton's jelly, swells around the umbilical artery and veins

so people that don't let others smoke in their car are hypocrites? I don't let anyone smoke in my car because I don't want it damaged, i don't want it smelling like cigarette, I don't want to be a second hand smoker and I don't want my baby to be either.

i am still wearing my cord as a necklace..i have to get it shellacked time to time or it starts rotting

1: After my time here in Korea I have a lot of really really good friends in America. Both fellow teachers and mil. people. I am also really involved in re-enactments. SO I would have happily move to the states for a few year, find a job to pay the bills, and then after a few years move on to a new country.

I have a good pension plan and hospital fund back in South Africa that I pay into no matter where I live in the world. So I am not worried about illness or what I would do when I get to old to do what I am doing now. I even have enough savings that I could go a few years without working. Moving to the US would be to be near friends and to enjoy my hobby.

2: My fiance used to smoke. I would not let him do it anywhere near me and especially not anywhere near the kids. Luckily he decided to stop and has now been smoke free for 2 months. Smoke makes me sneeze ... badly. Me sneezing so bad I can hardly stand upright with my eyes streaming tears usually makes even the most hardened smoker stop smoking near me. But it also shows just how bad second hand smoke is for anyone.

3: The baby should get most of the blood, the cord shouldn't be clamped until it stops pulsing. Medical interference in birth and the early daze of the newborn can lead to so many difficulties (as can the limited time off after the birth when the mother and baby are trying to learn about each other and establish breastfeeding)

I don't smoke and i did vote but i let others smoke... but it really isn't that I let them smoke.. my main rule is don't smoke in the car but he does anyways :P

and yes I would if it was free...
