Sorry to hear that Susie. I got an RFE during AOS but it didn't really make much difference to the processing times. Send back whatever they want and it'll all be over before you know it.

err... oops, just realized that you just posted today (I was looking at your timeline that said you received the RFE on Feb 21 when I asked). Well I hope you find out soon and it's a no-brainer!

Thanks everyone for the support. It was for the medical form (i-693), which was no real surprise. I kinda thought we might be able to get away without sending it, but alas that turned out not to be true.

It is just sorta confusing though, because the RFE says that its for the medical and vaccination report, so I am making him do the medical again (not just the vaccination part) just in case they lost his record from Albania. I can't believe they are only giving us until March 16th to do all of this, what a pain in the #######. I guess we should have done it the first time, but still! Off now to get some shots for Adriano!

Hello to everyone! haven't posted in a long while, but was catching up on all the posts and fun. Hope everyone is doing great! we are happily settled into 2-year greencard land and life is pretty great being USCIS free for a while.

Susie - sorry to hear about the RFE, hopefully you'll get the shots and form for him and it'll all be done soon!

Rae - your timeline says you had your big wedding!!! Congrats....share some pics already! how were the green shoes???

Hi, Sara. Glad to hear you are doing well. Life in Charlotte is pretty good and I'm enjoying the laid back southern lifestyle. I'm also enjoying the southern food, perhaps a bit too much.

Hey Sara! It sure is nice to be USCIS free for a bit, right?!

Yes, my big wedding was last Saturday and it was fabulous. I am so happy with how everything turned out and it was a very special day for both of us.

I'm actually still waiting to see our professional shots (and feeling very impatient!), so here are a couple taken from my camera by friends, and a link to some pictures from another friend's camera. The green shoes were fun! You can't see them in any of these but once I get the pro shots there should be some that show them nicely.

oh Rae.....WOW you looked GORGEOUS!!!! I love your dress! so glad you decided to go for it (I remember the discussion months ago about splurging on your dream dress!) The whole thing just looked like a dream wedding - the dress, venue, flowers, snowing in montreal, just WOW girl! well done! did it come out just how you hoped??

Yes, it really was my dream wedding. I have to say it was absolutely perfect, even the things that weren't I wouldn't have changed a thing, honestly. It was fabulous to have my friends and family there all weekend and I was so happy with how everything turned out. Scott hadn't really wanted a big wedding at all -- I think he would have been just fine leaving it at our city hall ceremony. But as we drove back to New York, he said to me, "This week was really special." It's meant so much to me to see that he enjoyed it as much as I did. And so many of our guests told us they had fun and seemed to have a genuinely good time, which was so nice! I wasn't really expecting such compliments. Well, and though I just called it big, I meant that in comparison to city hall. We actually had just under 100 people, and it felt just right for us, intimate and the way we wanted it. I am really, really happy with everything.
