Case transferred from Nebraska to California

I received 3 copies of the same email today indicating that my petition, which was correctly filed in Nebraska because I live in Illinois, was transferred to California:

On June 1, 2006, we transferred your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

Since I live in IL, this makes no sense to me. On the good side, this is the first sign I have seen that work is actually being done post March 6.

Has anyone else received this notice who filed through Nebrasak or any kind of contact post March 6?

Thanks for any help.

NOA1 March 24

This is the first touch since then

I filed our I129F though Nebraska aand just got 3 E-mail saying it went to CA on June 1,06.

Our case was also transferred to the CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER from Nebraska. Just wanted to join the club of transfers. And to let you know I received 5 e-mails (3 CRIS and 2 USCIS-CSSO). Good luck to everyone, including myself.

Those who have online access..... go check your status. Mine was "touched" today, as well as yesterday. Perhaps they sent them all to CSC overnight?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

It appears it is just partof the reorganization, though it is odd that Chuckles is left out!

If it gives anyone hope, I work for the Gov in Canada and when we get a backlog of applications that are sent to one regional office to clear, we put a "team" on it that only focuses on getting the backlog cleared. hey, maybe that will happen in this case for us.

And like someone already mentioned, it is likely that California is sending all of its petitions of something else to Nebraska, so the load should be balanced.

Oh but the Canadian government appears to know how to do their job! Perhap they could cross on over and teach their friends in the US.

On a less bitter note, my sincere hope is that you are right and that this will happen. I just don't have any faith right now . . .
