EAD and AP were approved today - card production ordered...I'm happy even though it didn't come when we badly need it......I have a job interview tomorrow and it was good because my EAD was approved today! Hope I can get a job sooner..it's nice to have 2 income in our family rather than one and sitting all day long inside and doing nothing. My stomach is getting fatso hehheehhe

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

YAY!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy you finally got it!

I actually talked about you to my lawyer today :) Just told him that Tucson was on the ball for interviews, but that a friend still hadn't received his EAD. YAY for you!

Anyway...to report from the lawyer, (today was our prep for the interview next week) he said one thing I have not thought about yet...if they are recording you (which they have to tell you) and they walk out of the room, do not turn to each other and call the IO a moron! HAHA. It was very funny when our lawyer told us that. But something I didn't think about before :)

My lawyer said we are prepared and doesnt see any problem... :dancing::dance::jest: Im so excited to get it done!!! Life will be so different.

Our lawyer is still very amused that we play on the forums all the time. As always is impressed at how much we know.

And just to share, he didnt really say much more. He said that they will ask what we all already know, name birthday, blah blah easy stuff. Sometimes they switch it up and will ask the spouse the others birthday and such. That no one interview is exactly the same, it is all impromptu but still the jist is the same. Women will have fun looking through pictures but the men ask if it is there but don't look through it. He said answer questions firmly, if you do not know dont dwell just say "I do not know" or if you kinda know say "I believe it is this"...or "I think it is..." "yes" "no" are great answers. Dont give up anything more. Keep it SIMPLE.

I think thats really all he had to say, he makes it seem sooooooooooooooooooooooo easy as I am sooooooooooooo nervous.

They seem to be recruiters, not employers. They'll probably screen you to see what's the area of your expertise and how good a fit you would be for their clients' needs. Good luck!

I received my EAD card in the mail today!!

I went straight to the Social Security Office. Thanks to the bad weather, there weren't too many people in front of me. I showed her my EAD card and passport, and she gave me a receipt. She said I can come back TOMORROW to pick up a copy of my social security number! And I will receive my SSC within the 14 days!

For those who went to pick up their copy of SSN (not the card), does it say your name as well on that receipt? Or just the number?

I called the driver license branch, and she said I can do the written test with the receipt of SSN as long as it has my number AND my name on it...

My timeline:
