Nathan (thegreatgate) must be a riot to have in class. You should start by joining the John Birch Society Club at your university or start one if they don't have one already. I imagine that you probably have a difficult finding to many classmates who are Right Wing as you are.

Let me begin by telling you that your grammar skills need a lot of attention! Start by learning the difference between 'to' and 'too'.

I'll leave you with a quote by Winston Churchill:

"If your not a liberal at 25 you have no heart, if your not a conservative by 35 you have no brain!"'

Is that quote correct? Because I though since you are a grammar expert, the "your" should be "you're"?!

let us not forget that the quote isn't even real.

an appropriate quote on grammar would have been from something like this book, which is real might i add.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eats_shoots_and_leaves

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.

'Why?' asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

'Well, I'm a panda', he says, at the door. 'Look it up.'

The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation. 'Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.'

but seeming as thegreatgate doesn't actually know what hes talking about, i don't expect him to post anything relevant. ;)

These quotes make for good story-telling but popular myth has falsely attributed them to Churchill.

"Conservative by the time you're 35"

"If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain." There is no record of anyone hearing Churchill say this. Paul Addison of Edinburgh University makes this comment: "Surely Churchill can't have used the words attributed to him. He'd been a Conservative at 15 and a Liberal at 35! And would he have talked so disrespectfully of Clemmie, who is generally thought to have been a lifelong Liberal?"

oh look, yet another thing you got wrong... you are forming a nice pattern of getting everything wrong. keep it up, it makes you look sooo intelligent.

You think I didn't know that? Next time I use that quote, I'll be sure to say, "oh, by the way, if you decide to google the quote, one of the first 5 links that appears will tell you that Churchill was never heard saying it but for some reason it is credited to him." :bonk: Makes sense to do that, right?

it makes far more sense to say it's a quote from churchill when it isn't, which is what you did. more lies! keep them coming.

You old geezers must have really low self-esteems. All ganging up on me because I made an analogy of Obama's spread the wealth policy to school grades. Do you geezers really feel better now? Would you like to continue? It is entertaining reading your posts.

Do I get your vote: Yes or No?

Would you vote your classmate University President if he ran on the platform that he will "spread the grades around". That he believes school and life after school will work better with a redistribution of grades. AKA, people that don't show up to school get D-'s but pass, people that don't try and screw around get D+'s but pass, average students will be bumped up from C's to B-'s, above average students will be knocked down from B+'s to B-'s and the smartest most hard working students get punished from A's to B+'s?

It's only 'fair' that we punish the success of the hard working students and reward the less-motivated students.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Very good fixx0red Charles... Engineers can write technical papers... it's the no-technical papers we have problems with!!!

And really... what's up with the "old geezers" attack? What makes him think we are "old geezers"?!

Maybe because of the old saying "Old age and treachery overcomes youth and skill"!

I think you guys are being mean to a noob. What's with that? Baptism of fire?
