Fox news?

I will not go there.

Thanks Spirit. I had to find substantiating evidence on Fox, because any other source would be accused of favoring Obama.

I like "Wake up and smell the extinction".

What's sad is that there are people who believe in many of the ideals of the Obama Biden campaign, but because of their fear and hatred

of a dark skin man with a funny name, they will do anything to smear him, even if it violates their otherwise good sense of reason.

If they were really for their candidate, they would post about how great John McCain is, rather than spreading fear of Barack Obama.

Really, really sad.

"Race card" huh, Charles?

Well, tell us where those facts are being overlooked and/or ignored.

It seems his name and race are a huge factor.

If he had had a 17 year old pregnant daughter and liked to shoot moose, or was taken as a POW and broke down at every turn, and left his first wife because she lost her beauty well, would that have been overlooked? Ha!

Speaking of dinosaurs....Hi charles.

Are you saying their fear is based on something else?

I'd rather think that it's racism, because that's something that can be ingrained, and for some people, it's just natural.

The alternative is that their fear is based purely on ignorance. You learn racism, and then you unlearn it.

But ignorance is a very scary thing, that none learn and none unlearn.

Put the card away...sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade.

Well if there is one thing you learned tonight it is that Fox News is by far the most far and balanced news source in the country, bar none. Here is another, BTW, McCain is not anywhere near my choice candidate, in fact, I definitely didn't vote for him in the primaries. I voted Romney, and I believe Giuliani, Huckabee, Thompson, Hunter, and even Paul would have been much better presidents. I can't believe our party nominated McCain. Tuesday will be a landslide victory for Obama because the Republicans went with a 73 year old man that is running for president for the third time, spanning a decade, with a record of losing miserably each time.

...That being said, McCain is still a much better choice than Obama....Obama has about 30 red flags compared to a handful of red flags on McCain.

Houston! We have a problem!!!

Thegreatgate, you thought Ron Paul would have been a good choice for prez?

You surprise me.

Have you read/heard Ron go on about really great and important things?

Things many of us supposed "left leaning" believe in.

He is pretty right on about so much.

PS: McCain was a prisoner of war longer than Obama was a Junior Senator. And he's got kids as old as Obama. McCain has the experience and Obama doesn't. As Biden said, "The presidency doesn't lend itself to on the job training"

SpiritAlight---There is a reason I listed Paul last! He wants to get rid of the CIA, IRS, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, & Medicare!!! Still think he might be better than McCain, but surely him and McCain are better than Obama!

Dude...you've now lost ALL credibility.

YouTube is not a source of news.

Those are edited soundbites.

:bonk: :bonk: :bonk::wow:

If you think those are edited sound bytes and not a straightforward interview then you need :help:

...He said in the short term energy costs will skyrocket and that people can build coal plants, but they will go bankrupt from paying his fines!!!

:bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk::rolleyes::wow::ranting::lol::yes::blink::wacko:

In the interview Obama spoke about his energy plan which includes an “aggressive” cap and trade policy which will charge polluters in an effort to curb greenhouse gas emissions. John McCain is also a supporter of cap and trade.

Oh the source...Fox News

You're starting to sound like a reasonable person. Please keep it up...and chill with all the emoticons.

So if McCain isn't your candidate, does that mean bashing Obama is just a hobby of yours?

I've seen your list of red flags...and they all come from YouTube...and they're all distortions of the truth.

Have you bothered to research any of them in detail...or is hearsay convenient enough for you?

As for McCain's red flag...wouldn't you say his biggest red flag is Palin?

so being a prisoner of war gives you experience at being a President...??

anyone who becomes President for the first time has to go through on the job training because they have never been president before...

Uh Oh....here you go again. That just means McCain is an old man. He's had a chance to make a difference, and besides the Keating incident, what has he done?

I truly respect all the men and women who risk their lives for our country....but I always thought war heroes were the ones that got away.

I want a John Wayne war hero. I want one that gets in there, does the job, and gets back out.

I mean, I wouldn't call the guys in federal prison, tax evasion heros.

I asked the question on Google:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_coal_technology

I knew it!!!

BUGGERS!!!!!!!!

A partial quote:

"chemically washing minerals and impurities from the coal, gasification (see also IGCC), treating the flue gases with steam to remove sulfur dioxide, and carbon capture and storage technologies to capture the carbon dioxide from the flue gas"

Mmmm... sounds delicious.

Fish would appreciate all that washing into their water systems...as we would.

You made me think of immigrants from Japan and China I met in Vancouver who had taken on a Canadian sounding name because theirs was too hard to pronounce for unilingual English people. It made me so sad...their names are sacred. Unless someone doesn't like their name and wants to change it; well that is their choice.

Sorry, back on topic...

That's actually a very common thing in Hong Kong. Most people take on Western names. Funny thing, all of Lai's family and friends in Hong Kong (including her parents who don't speak English) call her "Lily." But here, everyone calls her "Lai," because I made a point from the beginning of using her Chinese name, so that's how people know her here.

I really like your posts LingLing.

Really, really sad.

racecard.jpg

Speaking of dinosaurs....Hi charles.

Are you saying their fear is based on something else?

I'd rather think that it's racism, because that's something that can be ingrained, and for some people, it's just natural.

The alternative is that their fear is based purely on ignorance. You learn racism, and then you unlearn it.

But ignorance is a very scary thing, that none learn and none unlearn.

Put the card away...sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade.

dinosaurs? i wasn't aware you were watching barney while posting.

keep playing that race card. i for one am quite tired of hearing how people vote against obama because they are racists.

As you should be. Perhaps if SOME of the people not voting for Obama weren't racists then it wouldn't be brought up I'm sure.

Weekend was great... lots of pro-Obama signs in Republican suburban Cinci from all kinds of people and neighborhoods. Many more than I expected to see. But better were the Halloween times. Not a single politician in costume- or should I say it the other way around?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
