Still No NOA?...

I might be getting impatient here but.. our packet was received on Oct 9, cheque cashed on Oct 10.. It's now almost the 31st Oct and still there is no NOA? Are they delayed or something.. I had read it should only take a week or two? Luckily no questions have been asked from my employer about a new Green Card as mine is now expired.. I just don't like walking around with an expired card.

Am I being too impatient if I called these halfwits.. I'm kind of worried it may have got sent back like my stupid EAD did.. or somewhere someone somehow fcuked something up?..

HI there,

I read yo0ur previous profile and this one as well, I think there must be a problem somewhere, try and go in to your field office get an infopass and explain to them your situation, its urgent and get your greencard extended, don't just sit there and wait for something negative to happen, every employes has a database for foriegn employers trust me , you might be asked ssoon, as their computers might tell them about expiry date. GO IN WITH AN INFOPASS AND GET A STAMP TO EXTEND YOUR GREENCARD,SPECIALLY FOR WORK. I sent in mine sept 29th, got my NOA1 3 days later, and Biometrics 1 week later.goodluck

Aidan,

I would also suggest to get an infopass. Something is wrong and your GG is expired as well. Good luck.

Glad to know I am not the only one, especially at the Orlando office. I haven't received my NOA1 or Bio notice and my check was cashed on the 3rd of Oct. I have an infopass for Nov 13.

Thanks for the responses, luckily I'm not that worried about my employer right now, I can side step any questions. I'm more worried that I don't have a valid green card. If worst came to worst I can still satisfy the requirements of I-9 as I've a good DL and an unrestricted SSN. I just expected the NOA1 to have been sent out and received here after a week or two. At this point I'm starting to worry. I'm going to try the information line before making an Infopass, if they say yes an NOA was mailed to my old address (we did send in the paper work for the address change many months ago) or if it was mailed and returned I'll go in for the Infopass and get the stamp.

A stupid question I know but.. I'm assuming this is the correct number 800 375-5283 to call and complain!.. It's been quite a while since we needed this so just double checking!

That is the number I called. 30 days after mailing it out, you can call and say #######? Otherwise, they just tell you to call back at that time. Good to know I am not the only one on the same boat.

I wouldn't call USCIS just for the NOA but if your GC is expired, you should go into your local office on an info-pass appt to get the 1 yr extension.

Since your card is expired/expiring make an infopass appointment and bring any necessary information to get a stamp in your passport. I applied almost 90 days from the expiration of my card and did not get my letter until after my card expired. However, the letter was dated almost 1 month before I received it. So, sometimes these things happen.

Mailed N-400 March 6th via priority certified mail and Rec'd 9th (confirmation by USPS)

NOA rec'd: 3/19/2009 (date 3/16/2009, priority 3/9/2009)

Biometrics rec'd 3/26/2009, appt 4/9/2009

IL: 5/22/09

ID: 07/06/2009

Oath: 07/16/2009

SSN updated: 7/16/2009 (not received yet)

Passport rec'd: 8/15/2009(nat. certif not rec'd yet)

Well I still don't have anything and yes my card is now expired!.. I'm going to call them on Monday and ask them where the stupid NOA is but I've no case number or anything to track this with? What will I need to bring if I make an infopass.. we don't have anything to show we sent in the I-751 apart from the fact the cashed the cheque and we sent it recorded. I have the expired card but that's it... I can't wait to be out of this process again, I hate feeling stuck in between the stages again.
