Well, the day has finally come. Miche arrives Houston in less than 2 hours!!

Ive been in Singapore the past 9 days, arriving home just 12 hours ago myself (35 hour trip). My body clock is so screwed up at this point, along with the anticipation of seeing her walk through those doors from Customs...totally cant sleep. LOL. I bought a bunch of small US and BR flags which I lined the driveway with that she will see upon arriving home. We will also be closing on our brand new home tomorrow morning.

Thanks again to my fellow VJ'rs. Everyone who is still waiting....remain steadfast in this path; your day will come.

KEVIN/LEILEI: How is everything going since your 08/05 entry?

ELLIE: How about you guys?

Congrats Mike! So lovely to hear Miche is in the country. I hope she is settling in nicely and that you comfortable in your new home.

We are doing great thanks. David has gone back to work but we took in a kitten from the shelter about 12 days ago and she has been keeping me on my toes and occupied! 3/4 of the AOS paperwork has been completed. Just waiting on a vaccination transcription and I am good to go on AOS. Eeeeek, I hate paperwork :( I cant wait to get my GC so I dont have to deal with USCIS for another 2 years!

I am glad to hear the great news friends,

I have some to share too! We just got our interview date, it is for Sept. 2nd, and as you can see on my signature -- I am going there to Germany to be with him soon! I am the happiest! We will be flying back together on Oct. 1st. Things are progressing well!

^_^

Good luck to everyone, and UGH paperwork, I too am not very fond of that either! I hope things go smoothly for you David and Ellie, ( and the kitten sounds cute too!)

You may be able to find if there is anyone in your situation also by looking up the "similar timeline" via "my asistant" if I remember it correctly.

Leilei is still cooking mostly Chinese style food at home, mainly because that's what she knows best (and because we both like it). She's settling in well now, and finding lots of American style food that she likes.

We're having our reception this Saturday, and she'll get to meet a lot of my extended family. I feel sorry for her!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAH, that's how Dave feels for me too. He has 11 brothers and sisters and I have inherited by marriage over 50 nieces and nephews. At least 1/4 of those people are bordering clinically insane ;)

We didn't have a reception because I wasn't paying for well over 100 of his family members to come to Florida and eat, so my judgment day is going to come around when the next family reunion occurs....

I hope you both have a wonderful day :)
