Comments : Finger prints were scanned and photo taken at the immigration line. The officer took our papers and brought them to the waiting room for immigration. From the time we got in line at the immigration checkpoint, until we had the passports back in hand, it took about 1 hour. No hassles, everyone was very nice and helpful.

Comments : Biometrics in St. Albans was very quick and everyone there was very nice and helpful. We arrived about 30 minutes early, they took us right away and we were done in about 15 minutes. My 3.5 year old step son had one finger scanned and a picture taken. They also informed us that we could have applied for an EAD for him in order to get a SS# more quickly.

Husband received email message today (5/29/10) that Green Card production has been ordered and should arrive in 30 days! Now we are waiting on word for his son, who is also waiting for his Green Card.

June 12th, RFE received for Step-son, adjusting status from K-2 visa, missing I-693.

June 14th, email message saying Green Card has been mailed for husband.

A couple of days later we recieved our approval letters and a week later had the green cards. Our son's arrived on January 7th and my husband's arrived on January 8th.

Consulate Review: Haiti
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 22, 2009
Embassy Review : My fiance arrived at the embassy for 7am. He and his son were called up and someone looked over their paperwork and directed them to the cashier to pay his son's visa fee. They were directed to sit and were there about an hour before being called up again. After that they were asked to sit again and were there about 15 minutes before being called into their interview.

Once my fiance and his son got into the interview, they asked questions about how he met me, when was the last time we saw each other, what is my father's name, where do I live and with who, how often does he see his son, and who does his son live with, why does he love me and want to marry me, where and when do we plan on marrying?

He said that the whole thing did not take long and there were there about 2 hours total. They approved both my fiance and his son and told them to go to the RBC office on September 24th to pick up their passports. All in all, it went very smoothly and quickly.

Others that I know who have gone through PAP have had to wait a long time before being seen (one had to wait 6 hours). I was told, through emails with the embassy, that it is up to the interviewer weather or not the fiance(e) will be allowed into the interview and you will not know until the fiance(e) is called into their interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
